Let's look at right back.

Darmian is poor and Valencia is Valencia. Not awful but eventually gets found out.

Let's look at CB.

Smalling has been out of form since Jan. Jones is perms-injured. Bailly looks decent but is injured. Blind is good cover but does have limitations.

Let's look at left back. Blind is okay there but also has limitations. Rojo is awful at left back. Shaw seems to have some issues finding his old form.


In midfield...

Carrick is a brilliant player but can't play two games a week
Morgan seems to lost whatever it was he had at Saints
Fellaini is a good spoiler but isn't consistent enough
Bastian is likely to be injured and is slow as fack now
Pogba is a great talent but can't do it all on his own even though he sometimes wants to.
Herrera has started the season well but has his bad games too.

Attacking-wise Rooney is past it, Ibra seems to have aged loads since he arrived, Rashford is a great young talent but he still has to mature. Martial is having a difficult second season. Micky is slowly getting used to the PL. Mata is doing well but is inconsistent and Young is Ashley young.


Jose could be doing better but let's not forget that there were huge, gaping holes in this squad when LVg was here. They haven't gone away just because we brought in a few players this summer.

Interesting point, how do you think say Klopp and Pep would line you up with your current squad, say Klopp plays the 433 he's using for us right now, like do you have dynamic enough forwards to play a front 3 like Cout, Firm and Mane?

Our defenders are not THAT bad but they're so badly organised which I don't understand for a Mourinho side.

Everyone mocks Liverpools defense at the start of the season and they're more solid than us, City have conceded less whilst still playing better football.

If so, Jose should've bought better in the summer instead of signing a winger he clearly doesn't fancy and a 35 year old striker that's playing in the place of two of our last years best players Martial and Rashford.

Liverpool is using Milner as right back, Chelsea is using Moses at fullback. A good manager knows how to get what he wants from who he has. If I just bought world class players in every position why hire big name managers? Rubbish.

He came 5th in one of the weakest league campaigns ever when most of the big sides were poor.

We won a cup when avoiding all the big sides and nearly threw it away against a dire Palace side.

So many cracks in this squad but we're hidden by what we did last season.

Well, Yes and No. Which may seem odd, so bear with me.

The Young we have now is no use to us what so ever and needs to be sold. He has been so badly coached by the last two managers that his very first thought is to pass the ball safely, which usually means backwards.

The Young that SAF bought is still the best crosser of a ball out of all our attacking players, and still looks more of a threat out wide than anyone else.

Sadly there is more of the Young we have now than the one SAF bought.

As with ours. In fact we have many rated players even, someone like SchneiderLin was rated higher than the likes of Lallana and wanyama and now can't seem to play. I remember Lallana looking on his way out and now is integral. Origi looked lost but was reclaimed. Even players who were not favs put in performances enough to be still in high demand. Klopp saved them money, promoted players and used the ones he had effectively we can be that and more with a manager that actually improves players. Jose does not
