This pitch has been good for batting. Batsman need to apply themselves. At the same time, bowlers that are willing to apply themselves have got the rewards. Not sure why people still complain and bring the pitch talks all the time.

Jspur.. I look at the lower order batting.. We will get out of masses of problem.. We need to produce result wickets.We cant go in with a weak batting line up incase we lose the toss.. Otherwise.. We should produce wickets like the one that stuffed the aussies at Trentbridge.

You dont avoid a weak batting order by selecting 8 batters. So far as im aware, no test side has ever tried this, and im confident no side ever will.

Kohli again showing his class - scoring his half century and over half of Indias runs as well as making this wicket look like a walk in the park while the other Indian batsmen graft and struggle to score fluently. No doubt he'll wait for the lead to get around the 400-ish mark before letting England bat again. Plenty of time still left.

Tomorrow India should look to bat mid way into session 2. That's plenty of time to add 150+ runs. And will give India 120+ overs to bowl.

Looking forward to another kohli 100.

England have no chance..You just cant afford to get 250 batting first in India,.You always need 400+ same with Australia you need big runs batting first down under.
In England you can get away with low scores because the pitches.Bowlers always have a chance.
