Dungeon cricket eh, I love it. England still hanging on, you never know. Stranger things have happened before.
I heard that India may consider Cobra as their future shirt sponsor.
I was referring to the lager brand not the SNAKE.
You can tell Hameed is a United fan with the way he's parked the bus
Oi Kash, leave Man Utd out of this.
Got the opening. The rest is just a formality now.
Did the Indian commentator on TMS really have to say that Hameed had "spukn" ?
Oh dear, there goes Hameed. looks like a collapse on the cards.
Hameed gets one that keeps very low. No blame attaches to the youngster. 75-1.
Can't do anything about that, rotten luck
Still a full day's play to get through tomorrow. I think there will be plenty of DEMON'S in this pitch. A batsmen 's nightmare.
Cook out, that's the game
Yesss Jaddu. Good persistent line. That might be the wicket that turns it for us.
Great comeback from India.
Great comeback? They were hardly on the verge of losing?
Obvious to see India were frustrated for large parts of the day. Comeback is hardly the wrong word to use.
That's still a fantastic day for England.
England have a chance of a draw. Not a big one, but the batsmen will go out tomorrow with hope.
I thought there was virtually no chance of that last night.
England really blew this game in one session, but simce then have been excellent.
Kash, those 2 wickets were quite crucial imo. England could still have drawn this match if cook was around. And apart from the ball staying low, there is not much in there for the spinners. And our pacers are pretty useless in any conditions so can't expect them to be as effective as England's.
I think the Cook wicket was a massive massive moment. England can still rescue the game but it will be very difficult from here now.
Broads height also really helped today. He was creatig all sorts of problems for the batsmen on this track by using the angle and varying the length. Added to the fact he was virtually on one leg it was a very valiant effort from him. Our seamers did not do the same and didn't really look threatening at all - too many balls on a short length especially Shami. Spinners will win it for us tomorrow if at all, the seamers don't look like doing much for us sadly.
Our seamers are a big question mark. Umesh yadav was bowling on 5th stump line. I think more than 80% of his balls were literally left alone. How hard is it for them to hit an off stump line consistently and especially when you have variable bounce.
Exactly Viru. Nasser Hussein said it as well - Shami and Yadav are also very similar seamers in both pace and height. I'd love to see the percentage of balls England left alone - when the ball is keeping low on a surface like this, you have to get the batsman playing which they rarely did.
Kohli also needs to constantly following the ball with his field. Patience is vital in these conditions. So many times Cook edged to where a short leg would have snapped up the chance but he rarely had one in there. Improvement also needed there.
Yeah kohlis field placement have been very questionable. We didn't have a short leg when ashwin was bowling. We had lots of fielders on the boundary as well.
