The tax breaks are not just exclusive to cooperations/employers.

Meanwhile low-income and single-parent families will face an increase in taxation.

So who do you want to tax more then?

Certainly not those on the breadline. A slight increase in taxation to the very rich would go a long way. However taxing a single parent, working two to three jobs just to make ends meet is not the answer to the problem.

We've known this for years.

Very rich people actually prevent huge numbers of jobs from being created by keeping a very large proportion of total potential income out of circulation.

Digby doesn't, apparently.

currently someone on an average income would be seen as paying about 30% into tax and insurance but in reality when you take everything into account it's closer to 50% inc road tax etc

That's a lot for not a lot considering the benefits of dental care etc has to be bourne by the individual

What needs to be looked at is a different taxation system

From the article

" Rich people don't create the jobs.

Our economy creates jobs. "

Yes and no I agree with the article. Yes that it's not necessarily rich people that create jobs, Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Howard Schultz, Larry Ellison etc were not exactly rich when they started but have created companies that have employed thousands around the world.

Closer to home, my mentor who at around 4 years ago was practically homeless but now runs a multi-million dollar company employing people.

Innovation, entrepreneurship creates jobs, not the economy per se. People pay people who find a solution to their problems. Find a solution you will get money in.

it was funny but take these things as a pinch of salt, probably video edited or Ivanka wasn't even there.

Why did Hilary look at him like that then?

Passion Power

The undeniable fact is that growth and economic prosperity under a free market capitalist system require the circulation of money.

A wider rich-poor divide and the mega rich stockpiling wealth which does not circulate is damaging to the economy and job creation. 'Trickle down' economics has been demonstrated repeatedly to be a complete fallacy in practice.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
One that attempts to collect tax from super high earners, both companies and individuals; one that actively penalises the stockpiling of, rather than circulation and redistribution of, wealth; one that promotes a competitive meritocracy by raising and attempting to collect inheritance tax.

The ability to live, earn and do business in the country.

Knowledge that leaving the country would see a punitive supertax hit your capital.

The fact that Trump will never release his tax returns tells you all you need to know about his attitude to taxation. And the fact he unashamedly utilised various tax avoidance schemes.

Much like many UK politicians, (97% of Ukip MEP's) who continually vote against tax avoidance, tax fraud reforms.

Like most at the top, he is well dodgy.

Could've been a wise move putting a CEO cabal in charge of America this time.
We will see.

The women and lgbt folk out marching today......selective social warriors, as they ignore the plight of women and gay people all over the world, but jump on a trendy bandwagon.
Makes them look silly.
