What war did we last make money appear for?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Blowing up Syria and Iraq recently before that blowing up Libya, blowing up Yemen with our bum chums the Saudi's.
Oh and ermmm Afghanistan and Iraq (2nd gulf war)
We are always in conflict, ALWAYS! We make "defence" contractors to much money not to be blowing up civilians.

It seems to have been overlooked by many commentators that Trump's executive order has probably presented Daesh with the opportunity they have been looking for.
A terrorist attack, citing retribution for the ban, (as many see it, against Islam) will indoctrinate/radicalise more to their cause.
I just hope the security/intelligence services can prevent such an attack.
People from the Middle East can no longer visit family members in America.
It's ok though because Trump is neutralising a threat that doesn't exist to appease the bigots who voted for him.

Fair play to the Netflix CEO and the lad from AirBNB. I'm just waiting on the Co's of the big banks or companies like coca cola, or the execs from OPEC throwing an absolute sheitfit when they or their wives get caught in this.

That is just not true. Sensationalism at best.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not really
"David Schanzer, director at the Triangle Center, said in a statement that “it is flatly untrue that America is deeply threatened by violent extremism by Muslim-Americans; attacks by Muslims accounted for only one third of one percent of all murders in America last year.”
Moreover, according to the State Department, of the nearly 800,000 refugees who have come to the U.S. since 9/11, fewer than 20 have been arrested on terrorism charges"
It's a tiny tiny amount.
I think the strangest reaction to results such as brexit and trump winning is that so few try to understand why they won. Rather they would stick to the rhetoric that everyone who disagrees with them is a racist bigot, clearly the majority of voters disagree and it's just gunna happen again
I actually can't believe how much of a mess trump has made in less than a fortnight in office. Its incredible.

The world was a very different place after WW1 and it would have been just a matter of time before conflict would have happened regarding boards in the ME. It is a nice idea, that without Britain's intervention that it would all be sunshine and lollipops, but it just wouldn't have been.
Let's also not forget that Britain didn't just start war, they helped a side. Which considering what had just happened and Britains global power, was probably the right thing to do.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Britain won WW1 they didn't have destroy the Middle East.
People forget the Britain was a colonialist power, it became 'Great' because of the exploitation of other nations like India.
Britain didn't suddenly turn into a nation of do gooders during WW1, history seems to have been re-written. Britain was looking after it's own interests by entering WW1 at the expense of British soldiers who were shot if they didn't comply.
Britain after WW1 had to make sure it had a piece of the pie in the Middle-East, it's as simple as that.
The Middle-East had it's own tyrants without the help of Britain. If the Middle East was a mess today because of Arabs then we wouldn't be suffering attacks on our tube stations.
The only thing America and Britain should be doing is taking in refugees, who are only refugees because of US and promising never to drop or sell a single missiles or gun in the Middle east.

Totally unexpected for me. As say something like the wall, I'd be expecting the economists around me to say they need to do impact analysis on US agriculture and currency rates etc and these detailed studies would take months, before educated policy decisions could be made.
Nah feck it, just sign an executive order.

White non Muslims have clearly killed more in massacres in the U.S. compared to brown Muslims yet it's the minority who ares schat upon.

I think three will be a percentage of bigots but wouldn't say it is a majority. There are some very poor Americans who have been sold a promise of a better life and a great America and not a corporate stooge. On paper it is a compelling campaign.

Following the petty, childish response to the inauguration attendance figures I had a feeling he was still in campaign Trump mode. Yeah I didn't expect the raft of exec orders, but am not surprised by the content of them.

I disagree, if Muslim in Morocco follow and vote for a guy that says non Muslims are pieces of schit and they must die. His followers aren't following him because they don't have enough jobs or the health system is falling apart.
They are following him because the agree with his xenophobic rants.
Brexiters and Trump voters shouldn't be excused from their obvious xenophobia. They followed a message of division and de humanisation of minorities. Thats why they voted out and for Trump.
I suspect a VERY small minority would have still voted out if the immigration thing wasn't on the table.

Forget Muslims. An executive order banning high fructose corn syrup would probably save 100,000s of lives. Those are the proper risks.
One thing Trump's Muslim ban has done is unite Christians and Muslims, Liberal's and Conservatives, Democrat and Republicans in condemning it.
