How do we remove knives, guns and evil crazy people from the world?
===========================================================
Yes, it’s a puzzler. The Donald seems pretty confident he can find a solution where violence is perpetrated by Muslim extremists, but if it’s perpetrated by anybody else, it’s a real head-scratcher.

The only possible response is a shrug of the shoulders.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
I support gun control and not into guns at all.

How do you solve gun violence in Chicago, US schools, knife crime in London......other than making a comment about Trump?

๐Ÿ˜‰

Next, you can fix Mexico, wessie๐Ÿ‘

I watched students and parents talk to Trump, and it was not Trump who suggested arming teachers ,but a guy in the room.....possibly a parent of a victim?

Not my solution either, BTW.

The intentional homicide rate in the U.S. is 5 times higher than in the UK and over 7.5 times than in Spain or Ireland.

My theory is that Americans' total sugar intake is far tooo high and that they need more guns too shoot all that excess glucose out of their diets, including from school vending machines.

Shooter should've made sure he only targeted anti-gun lobbyists.

The NRA probably just consider it an unfortunate case of friendly fire.

Yup.....Murica is where we should focus all of our energies globally!!!

I would like to see gun control, no guns for easy sale etc....then we could move onto Chicago style 500 gang murders,,Mexico gangs, Venezuela poverty, Book haram kidnapping girls this week....

Nah, let's just talk about Trump and Murica all day.

Pretending you care about the them, and are not just point scoring and virtue signalling!

Yea, we really care about kids in America here.

Mexico gun murder rate??????

More guns in Canada and Switzerland, than murica.

I know talking about the Trump and conservatives in the US is like shooting fish in a barrell, but without constructive solutions, kinda pointless BS.

1. Mexico doesn't happen to be the biggest focal point of international attention, nor dominate the international media, nor feature prominently every time there's a storm, oh, neither does it purport to be the leader of the free world and arbiter of all that is righteous and just nor have the biggest say in which country's regimes need to be removed by force.
So I'd say the attention the U.S. gets and Mexico doesn't sort of comes with the territory.

2. Not sure where your figures come from, but not according to this list:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Estimated_number_of_guns_per_capita_by_country

3. There are plenty of constructive solutions out there. It took me less than 5 minutes to find half a dozen that enjoy widespread support (65%) amongst the American public.

Rather than post them here, I'll give you a chance to find them yourself. I swear, it is not the least bit hard.

The difference is there's an agenda that being heavily pushed in order to sell more guns. That, and not the actual support it has, is the actual reason this mental idea of arming teachers is at the forefront of the current debate.

You are more than long in the tooth to realise this yourself, so why am I even telling you?

4. Tiresome is bringing you round time and again to things you already know perfectly well, and even readily admit at times, only for you to somehow apparently forget them like a senile old grandad.

My apologies if you actually are though.

But that’s just me.

Your point, Sir?

I dislike gun culture, murder and back gun control!

I have posted expressing concern for people shot in America, because I am human, and these threads turned into fek All Americans......from loons such as you!

No lectures or faux concern about your American cousins, ta!

tbab, can't b so hard to organise your ideas onto a single post cannot. Please, it's dizzying!

Anyhoo...

1. Do you honestly think the reason America is in the public eye more than Mexico is because everyone hates them, or because they're the world's leading superpower and have a greater influence on global events than any other nation?

2. You posted something about Canada & Switz having more guns than the U.S.

I returned a link to a list that puts the U.S. top of the list by a long, long way. Might be a dubious source, not saying it isn't.

But could you please try to substantiate your earlier claim?

3. Ok. You're too lazy. Here it is:

http://www.pewsocialtrends.org/2017/06/22/views-on-gun-policy/psdt_2017-06-22-guns-05-10/

As promised, half a dozen measures for gun control that enjoy at least 2/3rds U.S. public support.

Now tell me why, in your honest opinion, a far more controversial, less supported measure, which has the potential to actually increase the number of gun deaths, has been propelled to the fore of the public debate?

Is it a mere coincidence, in your honest opinion, that it would just so happen to be good for gun sales and for the arms industry in general?

And why do you even class this as a "solution", given that logic dictates that it's not actually, rather just a "measure" the pro-gun lobbyists would seemingly be happy to see introduced?

4. I know how old you are you old goat. I turn 50 masel later this year. What I don't get is why every so often you start out these debates talking like you're Charlton Heston's N*zi uncle, only to eventually come round to be your more reasonable alter ego.

Finally - ageist, racist, sexist, anti- semitic and all hatey shouty - yeah, that's me in a nutshell!

Me too๐Ÿ‘

Not aimed at you....But๐Ÿ˜

Hating America is a trend here and elsewhere, and after shootings we get faux outrage from people posting fek America and Americans are stupid, blah blah blah..I hear it daily at work, read it in papers and see it on CNN, CH 4 and BBC.Tiresome.

I watched BBC outside source run an uncritical piece this, week on Black Panthers, tooled up and shooting cops, almost praising their actions, then NI yes later, Boom...Ten o'clock news, and sneering commentary on American use of guns ,after they basically insinuated every black activist should be armed to fight the white man!!!!

If we got the Nra and weapon industry out of power. If Trump walked away and if guns were banned, like drugs,....and alcohol in the past, people will still shoot each other, stab each other, beat each other, rape each other and be nasty to each other.

Now, Charlton Heston is into guns and I am not....the right to bear arms was relevant when bears were about, and guns protected people.

I would love guns,,knives and Trident to be gone....end of.

And I would love people to love each other and live in peace.

And I would love America, the UK, Christians and conservative and libertarian opinion to have fair and equal critique from the so called liberal left and social justice warriors who behave like the right wing facists they claim to despise๐Ÿ˜€
