It's more than half a season, and we judge every player after every game ie. Player ratings.
IMO he's has had a mixed start, has had great moments, good games and bad games. And of course being the most expensive footballer in history has an impact on how he is viewed. Surely everything that has a cost is viewed that way?. He will be 24 very soon so the next six seasons are where he can write his history.
Finally the new league, manager comments are more excuses than reasons I believe. History is littered with players who have had immediate impacts.
Well he gets abother crack tonight and looking at that Utd team they will need him at his best.

Probably not much more if we're including the pre-season he didn't have. Of course we judge after every game, we judge after every pass if pedantry is your thing. But in the OP context, I don't think half a season is an oil slick that will stop juggernaut Pogba.
Next six seasons? Football life doesn't stop at 30 anymore. The fee, when amortised, is potentially 10 years at a measly 8.9m per year. (Bearing in mind the rapid rises in fees)
And of course, providing we don't sell him, thus recouping a chunk.
History is littered with examples of everything.
But players having better seasons in their second season, after having a year to accommodate personally and/or professionally, is surely far more common; even among the top, top players.
I thought you lining abroad may have made you more sympathetic to these "excuses"?
Or maybe it was easy for you? Even so, you are not everyone.
One comment I would make is that Don't feel Mourinho gets the best out of midfielders who aren't defensively minded. To that extent I don't think he gets the best out of wingers or strikers who don't fit the 'target man' bracket.
Maybe it might take Mou to leave to see the best of Pogba
Well he did spend a fair amount of time in the UK and speaks English. When Kante arrived at Leicester he was entirely new here, didn't speak the language, and to use a cliché belt his feet do the talking.
No,, I don't think it's far more common for world record fee signings to take a season to perform.
All fees can be spread over a number of years, but he is still a world record fee.
Another game where Pogba has looked very very average.
Upstaged by Kane and that was even before United were down to ten men.

If you have to resort to this game to justify your point, you clearly aren't particularly sure of it yourself.
Despite the fact he played well when Utd had 11 men. Once Herrera was sent off, he had Fellaini beside him in a two man midfield, with 10 men, with a team playing long-ball football. Not a single midfielder in the history of the game would have been able to play well.
Seeing as Pogba turns 24 in just two days time you should really compare stats for when they turned 24 which would look like this:
Lampard
Intertoto cup
7 England Caps
47 career goals
Gerrard
FA Cup
League Cup (x 2)
UEFA Cup
UEFA Super Cup
PFA Young Player of the Year
PFA Fans Player of the Year
PFA PL Team of the Year (x 2)
PL player of the month (x3)
31 England caps
33 career goals
Someone said pogba played well when they had 11 men it's incredible the delusion. Cracks me up. He's like mark noble
Someone also said 41 passes was low for a cm.
Pogba played 27 tonight and completed 20.
Just to put that into perspective Herrera completed 16 and was sent of after half an hour.

Pogba was completely anonymous tonight, he is a 15m player tops, the black Henderson imo.

Really Pogba played well when it was 11 v 11 ?
You must have watched a different game than me. All I see a mediocre player who has a trick or two. He continually lets opponents run off him, hes lazy and his shooting is awful.
Everyone raves about him because he starred in Italy.
Don't get me wrong Juve were and still are a top side but the Italian league is nowhere as competitive as the Premier league.
There are two or three good sides and the game is so slow paced its unreal. Technical players always look good when they are given time on the ball but you don't get a second on the ball in England.
For £90m you get more tramlines in the hair than goals.
Pogba didn't play well even when it was 11 v 11. People talk guff. He is lazy and selfish.
At the age of 23 Lampard and Gerrard dominated every game, created lots of chances and scored plenty of goals. They never let players run off them. In cup finals they would always turn up, like Gerrard in the league cup final vs Chelsea
Somebody said pogba played well when it was 11 v 11 haha
United have been mugged off big time, I wouldnt swap Pogba for Mark Noble
Facking hell it says Pogba was dispossessed 8 times!

For half an hour Pogba used the ball well and put in a fair few good tackles, namely the slide vs Hazard and outmuscling Kante on numerous occasions. Playing him in a two was never going to suit him though, and once Herrera left the pitch the game passed him by; but it would have passed anyone by as Utd looked long on every occasion.
He passed the ball 8 more times than Fellaini.
