Q

Have you seen the documentary on the storming of the big house in Jan, mate, much of it filmed by those taking part, also interviewing the cops holding the line etc?

Give it a swatch
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'll see if I can get it. Where's it on?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
BBC Four Hours at the Capitol.

Crazy and frightening viewing, man

----------------------------------------------------------------------
JS doesn't think so. Apparently it was just a wee walkabout according to some.
You hear Lindsay (nothing gay about it) Graham was screaming at the Capitol Police to shoot the rioters.
That ones a right cockroach.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It shows the girl who broke into the building being shot up close, hand to hand fighting for hours with rioters and cops, proud boys and militia leading the violence, guys stoned in the chambers, Q Anon loons ranting, dems and reps and staffers fearing for their lives.

Amazed more were not killed.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I saw it. It was pretty shocking. The holding of the line in the tunnel was like something out of a medieval battle.

I didn't realise that some of Nancy Pelosi's staff were in her office when it happen and had to hide in a room next door. The protestors tried to open it but gave up after kicking it a few times. That must have been terrifying for them.

4 police officers have committed suicide following that day and loads are being treated for post traumatic stress. Quite shocking really.

All that and Republicans plus a few on here say it was a nothing burger. People died. Some were maimed.
Let's see what happens when the house gets a hold of the WH logs and phones of Trump and his advisors. It was a fekin attempted coup.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Protestors and cops died and some cops have taken their own lives since, plus hundreds of folk have got arrested and criminal records, getting caught up in mob mentality, partly inspired by Trump, who like Paisley, winds up nutters like myself to do daft stuff, tjen washes his hands.

There were guys there using Trump and the election for their own ends, be it far right groups or conspiracy tjeory narratives.

Some were out to get Pence, Pelosi, cops etc and used violence in a coup attempt, no question, from that footage and the horses mouth...some said violent revolution founded America against the English, guys interviewed on the steps as the riot ensued behind them.

Not sure they knew ecactly what they were doing, as you will see from live footage, but it was an angry mob attacking govt.

Have a look at the bbc documentary, mate, it was worse than going to West Ham supporting Chelsea in the 80's...or even my darkest old firm shenanigans.

The tunnel episode was like Game of Thrones at times, and one cop was lucky not to be lynched, as they handed him back when he said he had family, after he was dragged out and gun taken..think he was the ex soldier who had a fellow marine cop at his side looking out for him.

Yeah that bit was one of the worst. They beat him whilst he was in the crowd and he was unconscious by the time he got back. He was lucky one of the protestors helped him and made the mob help him back, otherwise he would have been killed. You could see how badly affected by it he was in the interviews too.

In the bit where the mob pulled him out, one of the protestors had a machete fall out their pocket too which his partner picked up. That was the reason his missed him being pulled out, just turned round after handing it back through the police lines and his partner was gone into the crowd.

I actually had high hopes for Starmer tbh as I rate QCs very highly in terms of competency & ability. But unsurprisingly to those on here, I disagree with certain aspects of what labour are about. Although he wouldn’t bring anything in too extreme (from my perspective) at all, it would still be hard for them to get my vote. Don’t really like either option currently

I'll toss a coin on election day and decide to go either Green or Lib Dem, but my vote doesn't matter. My constituency will be Labour till the day I die, it's the vote for a seat with a potential swing to either Labour/Lib Dem/Green that'll matter the most.

The difference between Labour and the Conservatives is the Conservatives are a cult.
All the chat about Corbynista blah blah from the right wingers hid the fact that they are worse, Corbyn for all his faults is a democrat, the Conservative voters have swung so far right that they will defend any illiberal action in the name of their demogogic leader against their best interests.
At least with Labour there is self criticism and healthy division/competition, it's far from perfect but it's better than blindly following the pied piper water balloon.
