I was watching an old HIGNFY episode this morning and there was a funny clip.
A caller on the phone to Farage and he said ‘I was always pro EU and the reasons for joining it when we did until something changed and I had a complete u-turn and voted Brexit’
Farage: “what happened to enlighten you?”
Caller: “ a horse kicked me in the head “
πππππ I’m paraphrasing and it was funnier in the actual clip.

What do you recommend?
Boris and Biden and Macron and Germany have been weak thus far as not prepared to send NATO troops into Ukraine to fight Russia, So Putin invades.
He saw Biden and Kabul mess so no surprise he smell weakness, and looking at Boris domestically too, Putin sees western clowns and Germany afraid to send troops or weapons.

Had a read of a few of these earlier.
Morning all. Depressing stuff from Ukraine.
In regard to Russian influence (Brexit) it's well known Russian active measures have been used all across western democracies.
In the US, the Senate foreign relations committee found that Russian money had been directed "with insufficient scrutiny to various UK political actors”
“Investigative journalists have also raised questions about the sources of sudden and possibly illicit wealth that may have been directed to support the Brexit ‘Leave’ campaign.”
The committee were also critical of Farage (page 117) and UKip in "fanning anti-EU sentiment, criticism of the European sanctions on Russia, and flattering assessments of Russian President Putin as well as far left wing views as conducive to alignment with Russia’s anti-EU and NATO-skeptic positions."

I know it sounds trivial but on TikTok the vast amount of pro Russian comments on all manner of videos is scary. Shaping the minds of young people on the most popular social media app.

There is a debate to be had whether Russian money infiltrated the Brexit campaign and helped to divide Europe in readiness for something like today.
(And no, that’s it an anti right wing thing as I’m sure plenty of people on the right didn’t want Brexit).

There are two if not three accounts on here. It's impressive if not a bit frightening the scale of the operation.

Are you able to ban them or do they just keep coming back?

Dictators hate their subjects seeing neighboring democracies thriving
How Western democracies respond to this will influence what China plans for Taiwan
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is Putin’s real issue with Ukraine: having Russians seeing their Ukrainian cousins enjoying much greater freedom and prosperity than they are on the other side of the border.

I'll ban them if they post homophobic content, but prefer to keep an eye on them.

One is hilariously obvious, to the extent that it is predictable. Coincidentally reappeared this week after a little hiatus.
I wouldn’t put money on any others, but all-seeing Admin I’m sure knows more than the rest of us

We'll find out how much of a Russian stooge in the pocket of the Conservative party 'donors' our PM is soon enough.
Ah but but but Alex Salmond...
