It's funny I'm being lumped in re: clashes with TBAB etc.

I filtered the contrarian russian apologist 3 days ago, and have only mentioned him twice in that time.. both today.

Tries too hard to be a contrarian instead of having an opinion, and needs to have things explained to him repeatedly before he will listen.

That alone suggests he's highly receptive to misinformation campaigns (throw enough mud etc) as it's repetition that gets through to him.

I will generally not mind reading his posts, but on this subject, him and peks have been making pretty disgusting posts.

Oh yes, very much so, and NATO are afraid of this escalating if they go into Ukraine, which is a legit criticism of present NATO leadership, from previous NATO generals etc.

However, we can see why NATO is reluctant to face Russia head on, as potential for world war becomes real, so Ukraine may be sacrificed.

If bodies start coming home to western homes from Ukraine, month on month year on year, if we do go in, public opinion could change.

Ukraine won't get into EU anytime soon. To get accepted you need to fulfill criteria like not having a war ongoing, fight against corruption, judiciary reform, minority rights, environmental demands etc....all these are sci fi for current Ukraine to reach.
Besides there are many other European countries waiting in line to join for years and they still haven't been admitted.

They can join maybe in next 15-20 years, if ever.

Short story:

In almost every region (only excluding mountainous areas), severity of observed adverse impacts of climate change is increasing in all categories at the highest confidence level (inc. changes in ecosystem structure, phenology, species range shifts).

In almost every region, probability of severe adverse outcomes is increasing.

Observed impacts on human systems are net increasing in severity in *every single category*, including:

- Water scarcity
- Agriculture/crop production losses
- Animal and livestock health and productivity
- Fishery yields
- Infectious diseases
- Human displacement/refugees
- Inland flooding
- Coastal flooding
- Damages to infrastructure
- Damages to let economic functions

Some headlines:

- 3.5 billion people are now highly vulnerable to climate impacts and half the world’s population suffers severe water shortages at some point each year.

- One in three people are already exposed to potentially deadly heat stress.

- Half a million more people are at risk of serious flooding every year, and a billion living on coasts will be exposed by 2050.

martial law has been declared and all men of age 18-60 are not allowed to leave Ukraine. Ukrainian and other border police are only letting out foreigners, women, children and men over 60.

There are warehouses full of Ukrainian women and kids on polish border with no Ukrainian men accompanying them, only males from Africa, Uzbekistan, Pakistan etc who worked or studied in Ukraine.....again BBC news today.

ukrainians/belarussians/russians are all different strip of russian

as close as english/welsh/scots/irish

they're all mixed with eachother too, like people are in the UK....most english people have at least one ancestor in the last 2, 3 gens who is scots/welsh or irish
