I think honesty, trustworthiness, and integrity are important characters for anyone (irrespective of political persuasion) in public office to hold. No more so than the PM, the highest position in the country.
However I get that many do not care about such traits, and will defend, and/or downplay those who display them habitually.

My general default position is not the government are great but far more that the opposition are useless and this is kind of shown by the fact that Starmer is not 20 points ahead in the polls.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No one is ever going to be 20 points ahead because Tory's have a core base of 25/30% who'll vote for them no matter what
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok Mr facetious, a long way ahead.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'd say Labour being a good 5/6% ahead is pretty good given Boris has so many things to rally around like Brexit, Ukraine etc. never mind the media and so many people who have bought into "Labour would have been worse" rhetoric with no actual evidence to back that up.

I don't agree, the media presented a daily conveyor belt of relatives who'd lost a loved one to Covid while the pm apparently partied hard at no10 so Labour should be further than that ahead.
Of course if the Ukraine does for Boris what the Falklands did for Thatcher all that changes.
Peter Schiff @PeterSchiff
I understand times are hard, but doesn't the President of the #Ukraine own a suit? I don't have much respect for current members of the U.S. Congress either, but I still wouldn't address them wearing a t-shirt. I wouldn't want to disrespect the institution or the Unites States.

No I'm simply defending myself against the accusation that I'm one of his cheerleaders (words to that effect).
Rayner was poor today and it doesn't make any of you lot less of a lefty by admitting that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Every time you’re on this thread you’re displaying your undying love for the Tories and Boris, you’ve even defended his infidelity. You’re a mug.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Haha, oh no I'm a mug.
You misrepresenting me is fine though.
Why is his infidelity important? In some countries the rulers have several wives.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think honesty, trustworthiness, and integrity are important characters for anyone (irrespective of political persuasion) in public office to hold. No more so than the PM, the highest position in the country.
However I get that many do not care about such traits, and will defend, and/or downplay those who display them habitually.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Rayner is getting it fron Sam Tarry and has left her hubby for him but I'm not questioning her moral compass.
Dear old Paddy Paintsdown was no angel either so why single Boris out? Mp's from all parties have always put it about.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because, for example, one of his conquests got into bed with the bloated spunkbucket and received £100k's of taxpayers money for her start-up.

I'm not the weirdo who is incapable of admitting any failure of the govt
If avoiding the question and making a mockery of parliament is winning for you there's no hope
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't think anything I say sinks in with you.
When partygate was in full swing I said Boris was toast and had the Russians not invaded Ukraine I think he might of been.

I think it’d probably be a lot easier to compile the (very short) list of things we should agree with them on.
In fact, I’m struggling even to start that list

I don't agree, the media presented a daily conveyor belt of relatives who'd lost a loved one to Covid while the pm apparently partied hard at no10 so Labour should be further than that ahead.
Of course if the Ukraine does for Boris what the Falklands did for Thatcher all that changes.

I understand times are hard, but doesn't the President of the #Ukraine own a suit? I don't have much respect for current members of the U.S. Congress either, but I still wouldn't address them wearing a t-shirt. I wouldn't want to disrespect the institution or the Unites States.
What an absolute nonce
