Anybody who isn't woke (check out the actual definition) probably needs locking up.

Bit harsh to lump CNN in with Fox but I'm only really familiar with the international version which a bit like the BBC World Service/News output has a lot more integrity

Not really, they are just as agenda driven and even though am on that side of the house I don't like it nor agree with it.

Yes but the actual definition has long since gone.

Woke in GB News terms means those who take their personal view of do gooding or political correctness to extremes.

For example sticking your face to a road, tearing down a statue or supportng the Brits going gender neutral.

Harry preaching about unconscious bias doesn't go down very well either.

Haha, well write a stiff letter/email to GB News and tell them then don't shoot the messenger.

In fairness lots of folk regard the modern definition of woke as political correctness gone mad whether they watch GB News or not.

Rishi Sunak’s new private heated swimming pool uses so much energy that the local electricity network had to be upgraded to meet its power demands, the Guardian has been told.

While many Britons are facing increased electricity bills – and are trying to limit their energy usage – extra equipment was recently installed in a remote part of North Yorkshire to provide extra capacity from the National Grid to the prime minister’s constituency home.

This should be very juicy material for Keith in PMQ’s

Anyone who tries to read anything into this is an idiot. So it's no surprise Oscar is here celebrating it.

People just watched it to see what it looked like, likw how people slow down on the motor way to see a car crash. If it carried on next week then viewing figures would plummet.

More people probably watched it when Lineker did the show in his undies.

It wasn't a record for viewing figures. It was just higher than the previous week. They have had higher viewing figures this season.

Anything to back up that claim?

A lot probably did, to see the football highlights anyway. It was only 20 minutes so hardly a struggle to watch it all. I haven't seen anything to suggest how long people watched it for though.

Nothing to do with the Lineker debacle, but my rules for watching motd are only if Arsenal win or if something funny happens, like a defeat for a 'big 6' team. Saturday I watched Liverpool lose to Bournemouth then turned off. Motd 2 I watched in it's entirety, obviously the Arsenal win, but also the Utd red card, and the Pope penalty incident I found quite funny.

posted on 13/3/23

To be fair, I only watch it if Wolves win or aren't on. I'll sometimes watch it and then switch it off when Wolves come on if they lose.

The Pope incident yesterday was ridiculous. In 2023 alone we have had the incident at Liverpool where they didn't have the correct camera angle, the Lemina sending off for jogging towards the ref and now this with Pope.

Did MOTD2 go ahead as normal or was that the same thing?
