Labour should just change their name to Tory Red, and current Tory can be Tory Blue, it’s the same thing
This is significant. New covid cases are up today, and by quite a bit. Up 800 from yesterday, to 6,397. The 5th day in a row they've risen. Likely to be the effect of the return to school. The Govt have warned us to expect this.

Better off comparing week to week, it’s 90 cases up on last week from 200,000 more tests

How's deaths?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not good I would imagine, not having experienced it.
Also Down to 3800 people in hospital in England now
Compared to same day last week we’re averaging 1%-2% case increases and 10%-20% more tests
Crucially, reported deaths are still going down - to 63 - and just 354 admitted to hospital (the lowest since September 27). Because of the vaccine rollout, rising cases should no longer mean rising deaths and hospitalisations in a few weeks time. So it's hold our nerve time.
Good news in the 3rd part of his tweet.

For the last 5 days
Which is about right because more tests will = more cases due to small number of false positives and that’s what we are seeing in cases - very small increases
Last 7 days has been a total of 520 deaths which is a decrease of 238 from the previous 7 days before that.

New admissions are under 300 for the last 4 days

4 days out of date *
Plus Wales admissions always incorrectly add 40-50 because they don’t test before they mark it down, they do it differently
So admissions are at around 200 a day at the moment and discharges/deaths combination are at around 400-500 a day
So 3800 in hospital
You’d imagine by end of April latest it would be 3 figures
There were 0 deaths within 28 days of a positive test for coronavirus reported on 25 March 2021.
Between 19 March 2021 and 25 March 2021, there have been 3 deaths within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test. This shows no change compared to the previous 7 days.
This is my area of London, very surprising given how high a BAME population we have here.
25 new people had a confirmed positive test result reported on 25 March 2021.
Between 19 March 2021 and 25 March 2021, 195 people had a confirmed positive test result. This shows a decrease of 7.1% compared to the previous 7 days.
Encouraging statistics, especially given my borough was the 3rd highest for COVID deaths and infections during the second wave.

Absolutely and categorically not. I do not expect anything like it after June 21st. That’s what the lifting of all restrictions means.
Anything else and unless something untoward happens; then it’s all been a massive government lie for months on end and we really are heading towards a geek run state of control freaks.

Union flag what an oxymoron.
It's just another right wing culture war front like statues, a complete irrelevance to unite the old fashioned 'Patriots' against the communist traitors and it's being gobbled up by the 'own the libs' brigade.
Rule Britannia lads Boris roolz ok.

Sweet cheeks, aw that's original. Tell me more about Kamala, I'm riveted.

I know you did, that was my point.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think you might be lost. It's a politics thread. S roll up to the top of the page and you will see. So posting about Kamala, and Africa (TBAB), is kind of the point. 👍
You're funny. In a laughing at you kind of way. 😂
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I do not get the triggered response to mentioning Africa or Dem leaders on a thread about these precise topics, but more often its Republicans and America...
Let's mix it up sometimes.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Let's.
So, Africa...What's your opinion?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Its a large continent. Ghana seems to be taking a stand against Europeans treating them as just a source if raw materials to keep European industry rolling along. Just chocolate, but it's a start. Build the industry close to where the raw materials are. Cuts out a lot if unnecessary transportation i. e. GHGs.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Q
Africa is big won't do, mucker.lol
After European plunder, China seem to be all over Africa now.
They surely see folk coming now, right?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well there seems to be a change in Ghana re building an industry and using their own people and local produce instead if sending it to Switzerland. Seems important to both of those countries. Small steps sure, but steps at least.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Good news indeed.
We do treat Africa like a strange old relative.
Don't talk about them much, but we know they are there and have a life to live...just as long as we do not have to get involved or talk to them.
