Delboy, if united don't win a trophy for the next 20 years will you still follow them?
Would you follow them if they were relegated down to league 2?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I dont support them so mute point ... I would say however that any year that they dont win the league is a failure in my eyes. Man Utd dont accept 2nd best as good enough, which is why they will always be htere or there abouts the majority of the time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Who do you follow?
So you're saying united success is all about their mentality as a club and nothing to do with the fact that they have lots of money etc.?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They are in this position they are just now because of years of expectation something they have had for years and years and years way before they were massively richer than other clubs and a mentality they have kept up. No super uber rich billionaire came in and put Man Utd where they were. They have been that way ever since I can remember.

I could be wrong but what I think Edin meant, from other comments he posted, is that he would rather have seen Spurs stay up higher in the league all season, meaning they are actually challenign at the very top as opposed to winning a cup/s but having a poor league season.
To Edin (I'm assuming) this meant more to him.

Edin accepts 2nd place as good enough.... I wouldnt with the manager and squad they have they are capable of winning the league especially last season. I enjoyed the RM 3-1 win, Inter 3-1 win & AC Milan 1-0 win more than I did beating Chelsea 2-1 in the Carling Cup a decade ago. People want to tell people what & how to think way too much (I notice it is mainly Utd fans who are comfortably the worst on this website). You think Harry Kane was satisfied with losing the league last year? You think he went home and thought ahh its cool we nearly won it. Hell no he has the mentality of being the best and if he isnt then I doubt he would be satisfied. The longer you can keep someone like that at the club the better his mentaltiy will rub off on other players and create the same beliefs
I'd rather have had the season that spurs had than utds to be fair
Utds season went pretty much like our season went with Mourinho. Discontent throughout the season about playing style, Mourinho acting like a tïť towards certain players. Yeah they won trophies and so did we but Mourinho just drains the fun out of everything that when you do win a trophy, you're close to not giving a fack anymore. At least under different managers like Ancelotti, we had some big wins along the way and then the trophies were the perfect end.

Edin accepts 2nd place as good enough.... I wouldnt with the manager and squad they have they are capable of winning the league especially last season. If I am capable to doing something (anything) and I dont do it I would regard that as failure.... "awww but I nearly done it" nearly is a word that losers use

At no point were Spurs ever really challenging though. If you were neck and neck in a title race then fair enough but they weren't. Plus they were pretty pathetic in every other competition they were in

If Mourinho didnt win anything last year and then followed it up by winning nothing this year he would be out a job i reckon

You can just say you forgot we got to the last 4 mate. It's OK. I don't follow Man Utd's results either anymore, mainly on account of the
