I agree though. Too many fans have handed the title to City and just given up all hope like that little bąstard from the Utd board Eric. Seen it all before, a draw and a loss can cut the gap down a few points and then it's all to go for then. City will encounter one Saturday where they just batter a team but cannot get it in the back of the net.
Look at it from a logical point of view, mostly teams that finish in the top 5 will win a trophy
City, Chelsea - Mix up winning the Premier League
Arsenal, Manchester United - Same with the league cup, and FA Cup
Liverpool - The odd league cup and FA cup
Tottenham - Nothing since 2007, and even then the team wasn't a top 4 side
Silverware is naturally the next stage, the "big 5" in the league are successful and so we should be also, I'd be disappointed if MoPo continues with this disregard for the domestic trophies, it's a fantastic starting block for any team.
I couldn't be bothered to try and spell his surname
I’m happy with where we are at the moment but I still want more - more being a league title and an established CL team.
I get the whole point about winning a trophy to solidify our progress recently, but at the same time there’s a way I’d like to win trophies. Playing like man United do for example to do so would not satisfy me. We can’t all play like Guardiola’s Barca, but we damn sure don’t have to play like an expensive West Brom.
Semis in the CL, top4, win the FA Cup. That’s a realistic ambition we can defiantly achieve this season.
"realistic ambition" think you're getting ahead of yourself there.

You may like Spurs model but I will not exchange ours with yours any day. At your best, you can only "put the pressure on". You have never known what it feels like to win the PL.
And we do not have an owner who resides as a tax exile.
Just wait till Harry Kane leaves or retires. Spurs will become Spursy again.

Explain please. We finished 2nd last year, anyone can win the FA Cup and we just smashed the double Cl champions, semis is perfectly realistic.

At what will happen if Sheikh Mansour gets bored and sells the club and demands repayment of all the loans that he has provided?
I'll take our (sustainable) model any day.

He already sold a part of it to some Chinese investors.
If he gets bored, there will be other buyers lining up to purchase the club just like Alan Sugar sold Spurs to Joe Lewis when he got bored.

20/30 years from now then if this current batch wins nothing they will be forgotten. History only remembers the winners not the almost men
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I still remember the Newcastle side of over 20 years ago, and they won nothing. They were a great side to watch.
Much more memorable than the Villa side that won a couple of league cups in that period, or the FA Cup winners Everton in 95
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Whilst I appreciate this is in relation to a specific comment. The actual argument is surely more about the fans of the clubs. I bet the Newcastle fans of that era would have swapped their near miss with the Villa fans who saw their club win that league cup. That is the point.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I totally disagree. The near miss was a platform to compete for the league again. A league cup is not.
If you offered me two choices now:
1. A guaranteed FA cup win but definitely not winning the league (or the CL)
2. Definitely no FA cup win, but in the mix for the league with a few games left (or in a good position in the 2nd leg of a CL semi).
I would 100% take number 2
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Absolute rubbish.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I would 100% take number 2, too. 100%! You wouldn't??
Spurs are flying high right now and, unlike Arsenal, they are playing an exciting style of football.
Having said this, if Harry Kane misses a lot of games through injury, then the current "happy talk" could quickly become silent. But, enjoy it while you can!

It's speculative though. Many fans would disagree strongly with you. Spurs have won 2 trophies in the PL era, but the managers at the time, George Graham and Juande Ramos, are not remembered particularly fondly compared to someone like Martin Jol for example who won nothing, but oversaw massive steps forward for the team after years of lower mid-table mediocrity.
