I'd rather have had the season that spurs had than utds to be fair
Utds season went pretty much like our season went with Mourinho. Discontent throughout the season about playing style, Mourinho acting like a tïť towards certain players. Yeah they won trophies and so did we but Mourinho just drains the fun out of everything that when you do win a trophy, you're close to not giving a fack anymore. At least under different managers like Ancelotti, we had some big wins along the way and then the trophies were the perfect end.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yup, its not a surprise a Chelsea fan understands this. Realistically we have no impact on what happens to a club we all randomly pick through external consequences; at the end of the day it is a form of entertainment and that is why we follow it & waste so much of our personal money on it. The fans who care some much about certain issues clearly don't have a lot going on in their personal life.

Trust me I know what effect Mourinho has
He does drain the fun out of everything.
Utd fans will realise it when they get rid of him and get someone else in. Tbf some Utd fans realise it now anyway and didn't really want him in the first place
Took most of our fanbase a lot longer to realise he isn't that he's cracked up to be.

2nd in the league and the FA Cup semi is a pathetic showing - how would you describe all other club's showing?
Remember that Man Utd winning a trophy isn't down to you, "lad". You played no part in it - you just happen to choose the most successful club in the country to support. Hope you enjoyed the season tho. From an outsider it looked full of thrills and spills..

You can't underestimate the effect a good manager has on the club. Or even a poor one. To that extent i think Mourinho and Wenger are in the same boat. Both trophies winning managers but on balance the fans of both clubs would be quick to get rid of

Well yes, for us it was kinda the next progressive step in the whole Poch era plan to make us a bigger and better team; and I believe we did it in style. Just a few lows along the way but was great throughout the season, and a real enjoyment as a match going fan.
I enjoyed the RM 3-1 win, Inter 3-1 win & AC Milan 1-0 win more than I did beating Chelsea 2-1 in the Carling Cup a decade ago. People want to tell people what & how to think way too much (I notice it is mainly Utd fans who are comfortably the worst on this website). If everyone had this backwards mindset we would all be Real Madrid fans.

You were good at home last season that was about it

But clubs will tolerate $hit football so long as they win, has a manager ever been sacked in the English top flight for winning a league with boring football? There have defo been examples of managers being sacked for playing a nice brand of football but not winning anything.
There's no singular reason, kneerash. We spend our hard earned cash watching Wenger play Coquelin in a back 3 because we're all delusional mugs wasting our lives and money away just to distract us from our pointless boring lives.

You were good at home last season that was about it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Apart from finishing once again above the all conquering Man U again. You don`t even have the best side in Manchester now, and are not likely to for decades to come. So worry about your own team first instead of constantly coming on the Spurs board poking fun at our team.

I agree. I don't think the Utd fans will tolerate sht football and no trophies.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But clubs will tolerate $hit football so long as they win, has a manager ever been sacked in the English top flight for winning a league with boring football? There have defo been examples of managers being sacked for playing a nice brand of football but not winning anything.

There's no singular reason, kneerash. We spend our hard earned cash watching Wenger play Coquelin in a back 3 because we're all delusional mugs wasting our lives and money away just to distract us from our pointless boring lives.

They may have to for years to come now that City have taken over Manchester.

Edin
Trust me I know what effect Mourinho has
He does drain the fun out of everything.
Utd fans will realise it when they get rid of him and get someone else in. Tbf some Utd fans realise it now anyway and didn't really want him in the first place
Took most of our fanbase a lot longer to realise he isn't that he's cracked up to be.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'd be happy fr Jose to leave tonight
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If he had won the league last year and were top just now playing the same brand of boring football would you want rid of him?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Obviously I'd be a lot happier as it shows his football was/is working. However we finished 6th and are way behind again the league and are playing boring negative football. Clearly that is why I'm not happy
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah I wasnt having a go, I was just asking to determine if its the non winning part that grumbles you or the lack of attractive football. Fans will pretty much accept anything so long as the team wins.

So you'd rather win feck all and finish a distant 2nd than win two trophies?
Yeah I believe you
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I could be wrong but what I think Edin meant, from other comments he posted, is that he would rather have seen Spurs stay up higher in the league all season, meaning they are actually challenign at the very top as opposed to winning a cup/s but having a poor league season.
To Edin (I'm assuming) this meant more to him.

Firstly how have I poked fun at your team?
Secondly you are behind us currently in the league
Thirdly where are the examples of constantly coming onto your board
Think before you type Mandy

Well they haven't really have they?
They have spent well over a 100m more than us the last couple of seasons and pep so far has feck all to show for it. Yes they look a shoe in to win the league but anything can happen. All it needs is a couple of bad losses, couple of key injuries to the likes of KDB and it all changes. Seen it happen so many times. Little bit of a knee jerk supporter aren't you lad
