Although to be fair, if I express every outcome for a potential corporate strategy in one long comment with a bit of Snyder propaganda chucked in, and cite it to a "source" then obviously I can vindicate my predictions.

posted on 10/8/22

Rather than having Superb regurgitate his spiel, here's the cliff notes bullet points from his "source":

- ZSJL is "canon" - meaning presumably Darkseid is on his way to Earth

- Affleck is committed to playing Batman full-time again (not just cameos in a couple of movies to say bye to the character)

- Affleck is getting a solo movie

- The Batman movies could be scrapped

- Batgirl was scrapped purely because it's non-canon

- Cavill is back full-time as Superman and will feature in more DC movies

Personally, as well as thinking this is quite a bold series of claims, Hamada is by no means the worst part of the old regime. He did a pretty good job steadying the ship post 2017 after Snyder nearly sank DC.

In the run-up to the March 2021 release of Zack Snyder’s Justice League on HBO Max, a number of executives and producers were targeted viciously by the Snyder Cut fandom, whose ranks were later found to contain a significant amount of fake accounts. The studio has no plans to work with Snyder again, though remnants of his vision can still be seen in some of the upcoming films, such as the Aquaman sequel, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. And this spring, Amber Heard’s troubled involvement in the DC universe became public knowledge during her defamation trial versus her ex-husband Johnny Depp, when jurors learned that Heard was nearly booted from that film due to a lack of chemistry with her co-star, Jason Momoa.

Technically, Batgirl was part of the so-called SnyderVerse, given that J.K. Simmons, who plays Commissioner Gordon, appeared in the Snyder Cut of Justice League. In a telling sign of how far the studio is looking to distance itself from Snyder, a source says documentary filmmaker Leslie Iwerks recently asked to license clips from the 2021 Justice League for a film on the history of DC and was told there is only one Justice League: the 2017 incarnation.

This is awkward for Superb

PSA for anyone unaware of Superb's "sources" - he is not just a SnyderBro but he used to unironically post stuff from We Got This Covered and FanSided, which are as credible as The Onion.

Lol what's FanSided ? If I've ever posted something from there I have no recollection of it. It's certainly not a site I actively use. We Got This Covered doesn't ring any bells with me either

Regarding Snyder I don't have much interest in him but I do find it fascinating how you and Guv keep pulling the conversation back to him.

I've moved on from Snyder, he works for Netflix now and his days at DC appear to be over. Maybe you guys should move on too.

Ok for the record and so that I'm not misquoted I'm going to repost what I said earlier today word for word here:

I'm hearing David Zaslav has decided that he's going to continue the storyline from Snyder's Justice League movie and make it the canon JL movie instead of Whedon's version. This is what he means when he says they've done a reset.

This means that Affleck is back as Batman and will star as Batman again in future movies. His involvement in Aquaman 2 instead of Michael Keaton (who had already shot scenes for Aquaman 2 which were scrapped) is significant in terms of it's implications and not just a meaningless cameo as some have alluded to.

The previous regime at Warner (which have all gone now thankfully) wanted to make Keaton the main Batman in future DCU movies but it looks like that idea has been scrapped by Zaslav and Batfleck will return.

The Batgirl movie getting scrapped is all part of this because that movie and it's storyline doesn't align with the direction Zaslav is going.

Also the reshoots that we've been hearing about for Black Adam, Shazam 2 and The Flash are significant because they're altering things to make these movies align with the continuation of the Snyder JL story.

Apparently things will become clearer in Black Adam which is coming out in October and we're going to see the return of a certain Henry Cavill as Superman at some point in this movie.

Before one or two on here tear up this doesn't necessarily mean that Snyder is coming back in any capacity but it means that Affleck and Cavill are back and that we're going to continue the story from Snyder's JL (with or without Snyder). Probably without him as he's tied up with Netflix anyway.

Would give the likes of James Wan and Patty Jenkins the chance to direct some Justice League and Superman movies. Or Affleck himself to direct some, maybe he can do his Batman movie which was meant to be incredible according to those who'd seen the script.

So we can look forward to plenty more Cavill Superman, Affleck Batman and Justice League movies going forward. Hopefully a Man of Steel 2 as well as an epic solo Batfleck movie. We'll also see the return of Darkseid and the continuation of that story and probably means we'll get a huge Green Lantern Corps movie too to tie in the with the events of this universe. Cannot wait if this is what happens.

Relax mate we're talking about comic book movies. Don't take the banter so seriously.

And read back, I never said The Batman 2 wasn't happening and my source never said that either.

What I said was that there has been no actual release date given for The Batman 2 which is a bit concerning seeing that Joker 2 got a release date already despite the movie being announced after The Batman 2 was announced.

I liked The Batman and definitely want to see more so you won't be the only disappointed one if we don't get to see more of that vision.

The first Darkseid appearance would be in the Green Lantern movie. I'd maybe have one of the lanterns mention that something bad is brewing in their part of the universe and a dark force is gathering power. This would be dismissed in the movie as a small problem that could be handled at another time.

Post credits would show a peaceful village on some far away planet but all of a sudden a spaceship lands and out comes Darkseid and all we see is his laser beans wiping the screen away.

There is nothing concerning about The Joker 2 being given a release date before Batman.

Joker came out in 2019. The Batman came out 5 months ago. Using simple logic, which sequel would you expect to see a release date for, first?

That last comment about Cavill isn't even news. Cavill has been linked to a comeback for years, plus he was rumoured to appear at comic con.

If we see Cavill in Black Adam, it does not validate anything Superbs "sources" have said.

So for Superbs theory("source" to be proven correct, one of the following must happen:

Zaslav confirms everything verbally
Affleck gets a standalone movie
They continue the DCEU from Synders JL
They continue Snyders Darkseid story

---------------
As things stand Cavill is not playing Superman. And all mainstream publications are saying that he isn't coming back, some are even saying that he actively turned down the role.

And my source is saying the complete opposite that he definitely appears in Black Adam 2.

Are you currently seeing any mainstream sources report that Cavill is definitely in Black Adam ?

No is that answer. So yes Cavill appearing in Black Adam is very newsworthy and hugely significant.
