And just so there's no confusing and twisting what I've said I'll repost exactly what I said yesterday:

I'm hearing David Zaslav has decided that he's going to continue the storyline from Snyder's Justice League movie and make it the canon JL movie instead of Whedon's version. This is what he means when he says they've done a reset.


This means that Affleck is back as Batman and will star as Batman again in future movies. His involvement in Aquaman 2 instead of Michael Keaton (who had already shot scenes for Aquaman 2 which were scrapped) is significant in terms of it's implications and not just a meaningless cameo as some have alluded to.


The previous regime at Warner (which have all gone now thankfully) wanted to make Keaton the main Batman in future DCU movies but it looks like that idea has been scrapped by Zaslav and Batfleck will return.


The Batgirl movie getting scrapped is all part of this because that movie and it's storyline doesn't align with the direction Zaslav is going.


Also the reshoots that we've been hearing about for Black Adam, Shazam 2 and The Flash are significant because they're altering things to make these movies align with the continuation of the Snyder JL story.


Apparently things will become clearer in Black Adam which is coming out in October and we're going to see the return of a certain Henry Cavill as Superman at some point in this movie.


Before one or two on here tear up this doesn't necessarily mean that Snyder is coming back in any capacity but it means that Affleck and Cavill are back and that we're going to continue the story from Snyder's JL (with or without Snyder). Probably without him as he's tied up with Netflix anyway.


Would give the likes of James Wan and Patty Jenkins the chance to direct some Justice League and Superman movies. Or Affleck himself to direct some, maybe he can do his Batman movie which was meant to be incredible according to those who'd seen the script.


So we can look forward to plenty more Cavill Superman, Affleck Batman and Justice League movies going forward. Hopefully a Man of Steel 2 as well as an epic solo Batfleck movie. We'll also see the return of Darkseid and the continuation of that story and probably means we'll get a huge Green Lantern Corps movie too to tie in the with the events of this universe. Cannot wait if this is what happens.

Future movies will be built on the events and storyline of Snyder's JL movie. Although there's no news about Snyder returning in any format.

Affleck appearing in Aquaman 2 instead of Keaton is significant and he's not getting killed off in The Flash. He's back as Batman in future movies

Cavill will feature in Black Adam and he's also back as Superman for future movies, hopefully Man of Steel 2 etc.

Batgirl was scrapped because it doesn't align with the vision that Zaslav has. The old regime at Warner headed by Walter Hamada wanted Batgirl and Supergirl to be the main characters in the DCEU and were going to bring back Keaton for several movies as well but Zaslav has canned that idea.

Reshoots on movies like Shazam, Black Adam and The Flash are being done to fit this new Zaslav vision which includes Batman and Superman being at the forefront of the DCEU.

Well it is a regime change. Hamada is no longer calling the shots, Zaslav is making huge changes and we're getting the formation of DC Studios which will mean all these DC movies will be made under that banner.

That last comment about Cavill isn't even news. Cavill has been linked to a comeback for years, plus he was rumoured to appear at comic con.

If we see Cavill in Black Adam, it does not validate anything Superbs "sources" have said.

As things stand Cavill is not playing Superman. And all mainstream publications are saying that he isn't coming back, some are even saying that he actively turned down the role.

And my source is saying the complete opposite that he definitely appears in Black Adam 2.

No is that answer. So yes Cavill appearing in Black Adam is very newsworthy and hugely significant.

To be honest I couldn't care less whether Cavill returning or not validates my source. That seems to be something you're caught up on.

Time will validate or discredit my source and all the things he's said will happen including Affleck also coming back properly to play Batman in future movies beyond The Flash.

My stance remains the same. The validity of your source will be proven or disproven, based on the below occuring:

Zaslav confirms everything verbally
Affleck gets a standalone movie
They continue the DCEU from Synders JL
They continue Snyders Darkseid story

Just for the record, validating sources is important, especially if you want to actually have a productive discussion that also has susbtance.

Speculating about what could and should happen is great too but there is a distinct line between claiming you have sources and just throwing out fan theories.

I'm not throwing out fan theories. I'm simply saying what a source who claims to have inside information at Warner has said will happen. Take it or leave it.

I've produced the bullet points of what he said and I'm happy to produce it again word for word anytime it's needed.

And as I've said time will prove him right or not. It's as simple as that.

Personally I hope he's right. I think Cavill and Affleck returning in various future movies beyond The Flash would be fantastic and would definitely get bums on seats. Especially if those movies happen to be Man of Steel 2 and a solo Batfleck movie.

Also the the continuation of the Darkseid story as well as Lex Luther and his new team including Deathstoke causing havoc across various movies. All the ingredients are there.
