Double umpire's call. Not the worst review ever.

Knew it was out and that the umpires call would come into play. Was too close on both line and height to review ad he was pretty far back in the crease.

Agreed on Malan but he deserves a shot considering how he performed in the Ashes.

Joe Clarke is training with the squad at the moment though and wouldn't be surprised to see him come in for Malan at some point during this series.

Hameed is absolutely miles away at the moment. Burns is next in line for an opening slot if one should become available.

Yeah, Hameed got bumped down to number 3 at Lancs after Jennings moved there. With Jennings in the test team, Hameed will get a run at opening again so hopefully he can get some runs.

Woakes is fit but he's only just come back and isn't seen as fully match fit as yet.

Believe Woakes had quad and knee issues. Don't think he's fully fit.

Come on Root lad, do your famous 50 and out routine.

He'll possibly come in for Curran then depending on how he performs this test match.

What's your views on Rashid's inclusion?

Malan bats far too much deep in the crease. Would do well down under but in England he's a sitting duck.

I think Curran will stay in for at least the next test match as Stokes is set to miss the next one as a certainty and Curran is a decent batsman. Moeen may well come in to offer a second spinner option on what is likely to be a drier pitch.

I wouldn't have picked Rashid but hope the lad does well, the backlash he has received for his inclusion has been awful from some people.
