Roy wouldn't make it at test level, he holds the bat like a chimpanzee would. Hales is to flat footed.
Now we’ll see classic India...hard work done, time to take the foot off the accelerator and let the tail Enders score
Nurse...have the screens ready please....the patient is terminal
Under 300 will be good and should be the target. Anything more will be a give away
Rashid is prime example of the England technique.. Plays on the crease and sideways to the ball.Should be front foot forward and play the ball. Not play across it.
Like I said earlier pandya’s spot is a waste for the team. Can’t imagine how good the bowlers would have been if we had Jadeja/kuldeep in the side instead

NURSE.......!
Haa Broad is out because hes unable to play a ball on the stumps. These are suppose to be international sports people and they are p|ss poor
Still need to get one more wicket yet. That’s two dropped catches in the slip cordon already. Has Sridhar actually ever improved our catching
Horrible last couple of hours after a controlled first couple of sessions.
Also, 4-60 for Ashwin today but apparently he can’t do it outside India
Kuldeep instead of Umesh today and England would have been 250 all out I reckon.
Kav I am just waiting for the day where we would play 5 of our best bowlers. We still like playing bits and pieces players for the 5th spot. Once bhuvi is fit I reckon he can come for Pandya. And then depending on the pitch we either go with 3 other pacers and 1 spinner or 2 pacers and 2 spinners.
Tomorrow will be huge for India. Bowling is all good but batting is the main challenge. If kohli is out in the middle in the first 15 overs then it would be a disastrous start. Quite a few of the batters are out of form so it could easily turn out to be England on the front seat.
Some pi55 poor cricket from England today.. at 215-3, what’s the need in Root going for that risky second run... crazy. England making a habit of these collapses now. Sky comms were saying 400 probably par on that pitch - expecting India to take 150+ lead...

Best thing to do is watch a real sport. Not done statues drinking pimms for a game that each match lasts 74 years.

Stats prove he is a home bully. He is fortunate that with this hot summer that the wickets are spin friendly.

Most spinners nowadays are what you would class as “home bullies” in your case. In away series’ (and yes Sri Lanka is away even for India, who would have thought it!) his average still hovers around the 31 mark I believe. That’s as good as it gets imo. 22 at home.
To put that into perspective, Herath’s avg away from home is 36.

Couldn’t have written it any better.
Ash had a great day today..... think you two getting into this debate of whether he’s a home bully or not a bit too early - let’s see how he gets on as the series progresses
IMO spinners tend to pick wickets when the conditions have something in it, even if its not as pronounced as what you would get in subcontinent. When India tour they mostly get pacer friendly wickets with green tops so can’t expect spinners to do much.
Also in the earlier parts of Ashwin’s career when he toured, dhoni was the captain. He never knew how to handle most of the bowlers and that has an impact on how the bowlers perform. The whole bowling unit is a lot more confident now under kohli.

If you take West Indies out of that then his average is sky high. The West Indian pitches are like sub continent now.
But why would you take West Indies out? It's an away tour just as it is for any other touring side! I really think it's harsh to say Ashwin is a home track bully when he's effectively only played two tests in England before yesterday as well. Lets see how he does but the signs yesterday were uber positive.
Ashwin bowled well yesterday on a pitch offering some turn and bounce. His dismissal of Cook was a beauty but the Buttler and Stokes dismissals were pretty poor from an England point of view. You'd expect England to play him better as the series goes on similarly to how they approach Kuldeep in the ODI series.
I'm expecting Ishant to get Jimmy in the first over this morning and watch the Indians batting from 11:10-15ish. England will come out hard knowing they need to correct the collapse and try and get into the middle order early. I expect India to be at around 280/5 by the end of the day with a Kohli century. He looks pumped.
