Yeah can’t see him getting more than a slap on the wrist. Community service is likely.

Should get made to lead all the pride parades, and song it’s raining men at Mardi gras.
Love the way the chancy little caant tried to paint himself as the hero when this first came out.
TBF he was a bit heroic to start with. Those gay guys were going to get a beating from those two scroats. Then the ginger mist came down and things got out of hand.
So.. hang on.
Stokes started abusing gay folks, but then when two others started attacking the gaays, then stokes jumped in to defend them and beat up the attackers?
Confusing
Everyone seen Jimmy’s golfing mishap I gather then
Going to have a shiner for that one on Thursday.
Stokes is just a nasty piece of work but for that bowling spell i'll forgive him.
Stokes appears to be one arrogant sod.. He doesn't mind abuse gay people but he had to fight people attacking them. It appears he was stalling for a fight that night who ever it was.
I don't like one him one bit. He shouldn't have been drinking anyway on England duty.
Would wait to hear all sides of the story and the jury's verdict before jumping to conclusions based on what the prosecutor has said!
"A bottle was used at the beginning by Mr Ali and a broken street sign brought into the fray towards the end by Mr Hale.
................
Hard to imagine why Stokes might have wanted to punch his lights out.
I can’t help but like Stokes really. Love his passion on the field. He should regret what happened that night but he’s hardly the first to have done something he regrets after a few drinks on a night out.

Rich athlete...of course he’ll get away. Systems designed to support them. Almost as much as it does the upper class (thinking of the girl who got a slap on the wrist for trying to stab someone to death...because she knew the royals..)
Looks like everyone’s made their minds up after 1 snippet of information. Let the jury decide after getting both lawyers views and the judge’s summing up... media have gone from he was defending two men to he was being homophobic towards them.... well, which one is it....
Can't believe Stokes offered the bouncer £300 to get into Mbargo. It's a **** bar/club.
So we've only really heard from the bouncer in the first two days. Thankfully the second tests starts in a couple of days.
The whole thing will hinge on the testimony of the two gay guys. The build up to it all will be irrelevant. If they stick up for Stokes, he's home free. If not, he's looking at Community Service in a situation where you and I would be looking at a custodial.

Depends on the severity and the aggravating circumstances, but I reckon so. Anyhow, the main charge is not assault but affray.
A person guilty of affray is liable on conviction on indictment to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 3 years or a fine or both, or on summary conviction to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or a fine not exceeding the statutory maximum or both
Sorry
I should have been more clear.
Despite what the law says are judges sticking to the letter of the law or doing their own thing, when it comes to sentencing?
Seems odd how 3 Pakistan players get jail for spot fixing despite it being a first time offence while Stokes who almost killed a man will be trimming someone bush for a few hours a week
while Stokes who almost killed a man
.................
I thought he just knocked some waster out?

What are you trying to say? White justice?
yeah its all a conspiracy.. against certain people.
I mean what else??. seems victimhood follows some set of ppl around (inserts a shock horror emoticon)
lets understand one thing here OK? Stokes didn't go out to attack someone.. It wasn't premediated.. Unlike the Pakistani players who went out with the soul intention to commit fraud (which they did)
