Kohli gone, had ridden his luck for a quite a while.
Good ball to get him out. Not liking this test match at all. This is way too much in favour of the bowlers.

It happens, no one was predicting this weather and conditions a few weeks ago, it’s how test cricket goes sometimes in these conditions, eng won the toss which was massive

Winning the test should never be a "massive" factor in test cricket. Wouldn't have happened if it had been spread our properly over the summer instead of all the pyjama nonsense.

I've always thought tests could be divided up into sessions of batting and bowling per side...
You could opt to stay in bat if you reach a target or be made to swap to bowling after lunch
many wouldn't like it I know
Winning the test should never be a "massive" factor in test cricket.

Yes it should, same as how batting in the subcontinent In the 2nd innings is seen as a disadvantage due to the dew in the outfield

I think that should read 'toss'...hence my comments on sessions
Total joke cricket. Another two day test match.

The second day is nearly over and only one team has batted.
Could you get any more ridiculous?
Can't criticise good bowling

35.2 overs what a farce.
He just gets better and better.

No he doesn’t as you said he’s just been amazing in these conditions all his career probabaly one of the best ever, when there’s little or no swing or movement he’s no where close to the likes of styen, McGrath, akram etc
How are India the number one team in test cricket
All those multiple home series and then playing Sri Lanka and West Indies away makes a mockery of the ranking system.
We are watching the early death throes of test cricket. The administrators are ensuring that with this one.

Didn't he average under 30 in the ashes just gone? There was little to no swing there.
What a ridiculous arguement that India are number one because of home tours
What happened when England came over to Rajkot, Visakhaptnam, Mohali and Mumbai? Absolutely spanked and given the run around far worse than we are at the moment. At least Edgbaston was competitive. The fact of Test cricket is just that home advantage is simply far too strong these days. This needs to be nullified somehow.
Praying for rain for the next two days and a Stokes jail sentence handed out at some point next week. That will ease the pressure slightly.

Didn’t england beat India in India in 2012??
Fact is the India England series always gets a massive build up (rightly so) but India just never turn up. Pakistan Sri Lanka and West Indies have been more competitive in England... not sure what India’s problem
Is. Last weeks game was competitive because of a few dropped catches and kohli capitalising. One man show, Time ECB gave India odi or T20s only.
The only reason India win at home. Is because their batsmen press on the front foot and play the ball at knee height.. There is no movement. The likes of Pujara gets away with it. Because hes patient and as a very good defence. He can go at 2 runs and over as long as he bats for 4 sessions . In England he cant for the main reason theres always a ball with your name on it. So he goes nowhere with the scoring rate..
And India get away with playing 2/3 spinners at home/ Because the opposition struggle to get them off the square due to lack of pace in the pitches..
Anyhow today and Monday is suppose to be clear.. Hopefully England can get on with it today and get a huge lead..
