Henderson is a good player and has proved it in the CL, what has Herrera done in the CL?

As for Guendouzi, he'll end up better than both of them imo

I don't make tactical generalisations about Liverpool because I don't watch them enough to be sure I'm right. If you were watching, you'd know Herrera and Matic don't typically play as a deep-lying double act.

As to the OP, I think Henderson gets a lot of undeserved stick. He has his limitations but he has become a specialist in his role and it works well in Klopp's system. I'd take Herrera over Henderson. But Henderson vs. Matic would be a more interesting question to debate.

At the risk of breaking the tribal mood, I've always been impressed by Wijnaldum when I've seen him play. That Dutch-trained marriage of technique and intelligence. If I were to take one LFC midfielder for our side, he'd be the one.

But the obvious upgrade we could do with is someone in Matic's role. I'd be looking for someone substantially in advance of Henderson's ability in that respect.
