I think Parky will be here for the next few months, otherwise he would have been given his marching orders by now

Iles with more updates... I hate the guy, the update is basically no news yet, maybe tomorrow.

Luca Connell handed in his 14 day notice, yesterday, but the Administrators have rejected it.
The takeover needs to happen quickly now so the players can be paid, that will nullify the 14 day notice.

Isac, the administrators have released the update. Iles is just the mouthpiece.

At least it' not negative. We remain on standby but it could be anytime now. We live in hope.

Iles tweets things as though he is in the know, he builds peoples hopes up with those tweets and comments.
On the other hand says there is something going on BUT cant tell us!!
That just leaves fans with nothing to do, only fill the time with nonsense and rumours.
I now GUESS that yesterdays delay was due to the fact that Luca had handed his notice to quit the club.
I will wait patiently by and watch teletext for the next set of statements released by the Administrators saying we are nearly there, or even better, a statement by the new owners.

I don't put any faith in Iles when there has been no contact from the administrator but his last piece on the subject was most definitely straight from them. He has only printed what he has been given. You obviously have your own take on the matter which is fine but I take the news as a positive. Whether or not matters will be resolved is still up in the air but at least something seems to be happening.

As for Luca when he was spotted at Parkhead stadium, it intensified matters resulting in Luca handing in his notice. I doubt that any delay in the statement from the administrators being released if that is what you are inferring has anything to do with the Luca Connell situation.

Connell gone. Admin saying Celtic have paid over the odds.

Can't say I care to be honest. Can't miss what you never really had.

posted on 29/6/19

If you can't pay players they are going to go. Unfortunately the fee received will probably just disappear into the administration costs and not be given onto the next owners. Shame really. Whos next?

The new owners ( If there are any ) would have had a say in the Luca Connell transfer,
I hope it was a good offer, and it goes On top of
1 mil transfer budget promised.
In the interests of BWFC.

I doubt the next owners had anything to do with it. They can only affect things once they have ownership.

Updated the list at the top. Down to just 13 players. The confirmed departure list is growing. It 1st July on Monday. I wonder how many of the out of contract/unattached list will have to be moved to the departure list. I expect brockbank to be at least one of them.

posted on 29/6/19

We will see who turns up for the first day of pre-season - fully expect to see a couple of out of contract lads coming in for the fitness aspect till either they get something else or the takeover happens and a contract can be sorted.

Also regards to the numbers - didn't Blackpool start a pre-season once with even less senior players than we have?

And as I typed that comment the administrators say the heads of terms is done.

Thanks to the Eddie Davies trust who have shown a deep and true understanding of what Bolton wanderers means to the fans and the wider community. No mention of ken.

Things have just started to get better, except of course that we have just lost Luca Connell for the paltry fee of £350,000 to that Ginger Irishman, who few on this board had any time for. Still, we now have to look on the bright side and hope that the Football Venture group are indeed our saviors. They were my preferred bidder. I think that they will have the clubs best interest at heart, so if it is them, I wish them well.

I wonder what happened during the negotiations and why the administrators are lauding praise on Eddie Davies's trust. They must have conceded on some important issue. If that is the case, I will also applaud them, but I will wait and see what has transpired.

Hopefully, more details will emerge with the fullness of time. Tonight is a time to celebrate and it just so happens that I'm taking the missus out to our favorite restaurant in the old town of Altea. The food is great and I may partake of a couple of beverages whilst dining alfresco on the open terrace.

Have a great night guys.

It’s the Antica Trattoria in Del Carmen for the missus & myself , so cheers Swie 🍾πŸ₯‚.
Heave a good night πŸ₯³

Hi, golden, we had a great night thank you. I hope that you did likewise. The place was packed as always and we had a table overlooking the old church in the church square. It really is a special place for us and our eldest grandson was christened in the church.

We now await confirmation, hopefully, tomorrow of who the successful bidder is and of course that they have completed the sale of the club to them. Fingers crossed that everything goes to plan.

Fly in the ointment? Bassini not going away https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/9405906/bolton-high-court-laurence-bassini-football-ventures/

At the point where I just laugh now.

posted on 30/6/19

It may well be that because he was not chosen as the preferred bidder at the crucial time when all bids had to be tabled, it is just Bassini looking for more publicity. If we think back, he was going to sue Ken Andrson. As nothing seems to have happened on that front I think it is just a bluff.

If he has other backers and they are local, why didn't he up the ante when the final bids were due in? You can't come back when the due date has passed and expect to be taken seriously.

Having said that, this is something that could ruin preparations for the season ahead. If he loves the club that much, and I can't see how he does, having no connection with the club previously, he should walk away and let the administrators and Football venture get on and complete the deal.

Bassini aint going to pass a fit and proper persons test in a million million years. I even doubt he has the money to take this to court anyway. He's just a big ballooning buffoon.

Though this in itself is a pretty dangerous thing.

It'll all be over and done with in a couple of days.....Wont It??

posted on 1/7/19

I hope that it will all be wrapped up in days but I wouldn't put money on it. This is a very bad distraction at a crucial time.

Bassini is a cretin of the highest order and I hope that he never gets his hands on the club. If he had the cash to buy the club in the first instance why didn't he prove to the EFL that he actually had the means? He would possibly have been able to secure the club had he done that. To come back after the date for final bids to be presented should surely rule him out.
