Don’t read to much into it guys , things take time at
BWFC.

Only been going on for months this. Things certainly do take time. What's the odds on Bolton not being able to put a team out the first game?

I notice the beano have back tracked on their claim that football ventures are the preferred bidder.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Benny, Iles hasn't backtracked unless I have missed something. He has released a statement from the administrators who, for legal purposes, cannot release the name of the preferred bidder until everything is signed, sealed, and delivered. That is normal practice just in case something does go wrong.

Of course, it doesn't mean that Football Venture is the preferred bidder as that was, as far as I know, was speculation.

We'll mi was prematurely announcing fv as the preferred bidder on the 13th then on the 18th backtracked saying the identity of the preferred bidder originally intended for release on friday has been delayed due to unforseen circumstances. I'm not saying he's wrong or anything but I don't think the original article helped the situation one bit with speculation running wild. You can see why ken ended up banning him from the stadium.

He was lambasted on twitter the other day for writing fake news, 'He knows this and that but cant say' stuff, he later deleted his posts, and has been fairly quiet since. May have spat his dummy out.

Fixture list out today

Going onto the delay, I think the administrators may have been too quick to say that everything could be wrapped up the day after that the preferred bidder had been informed that they had been successful.

It seems to me that the administrators, who are working for the creditors, were expecting everything would be accepted by the preferred bidder. However, you would have thought that the detail would have been plainly set out to all bidders. Their scant communications to the public have been lacking in clarity so it's anyone's guess what they were actually saying to the bidders.

What normally happens, as I understand it, is that there is a creditors meeting to decide what their expectations are, We have to remember that the administrators are working to find a good solution to protect the company that's in administration but they are in fact working for the creditors.

It's a complex situation and we can assume that in the case of BWFC, there have been details that have come to light that the preferred bidder is not happy with. Hopefully, as we have been informed, they will be resolved very quickly.

First time i can remember not looking forward to the fixture announcement. By now would have been looking forward to certain fixtures. Not even looked at it yet.

posted on 20/6/19

I read a couple of lines that Iles wrote but didn't finish reading his article. I also didn't look at the fixtures. Until our situation is clear, I don't have a lot of enthusiasm.

Swie, I bet you had a sneaky peek 👀 at the fixtures.😉

away at Rochdale in the Carabao Cup. out first round anybody?

posted on 21/6/19

A competition we're usually out before the transfer window shuts. I don't see any difference here. Going to be a tough start with several trialist signings blending in with the left overs of last seasons squad. We're also a cup final for the likes of Blackpool, bury, Tranmere. 10 points from the first 4 games last season to here. A lesson in how to destroy a football club. Sigh.

Golden, No I didn't and I still haven't looked at them.
Now to more interesting matters. Benny and Isaac take note. Iles is still saying that Football Ventures is the winning bidder and furthermore, he sights Michael James as the mystery benefactor who made a large donation to help the staff at the club when their wages had not been paid. Here is the link.

https://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/17721157.identity-of-bolton-wanderers-mystery-wage-benefactor-revealed/

We could do a lot worse than have this true supporter of the club involved in the consortium that has won the right to take over the club. I sincerely hope that all matters can be successfully and speedily concluded.

I don't think it was Iles who outed Football Ventures as the preferred bidder - The Times got there first. Which must mean they have spoken to someone within FV.

As for the league cup - I've never liked it. Even during the 2 runs to the final. Made even worse this season by drawing a team in the same league.

Should we be worried about nixons tweet that the reason for the hold up is not for public domain? The clocks ticking. We're not far off it being unviable to be able to put a team out on the pitch. In that case chucked out of the league, club wound up and a new club maybe reforming at the very bottom of the football pyramid.

posted on 21/6/19

First and foremost I don't know what Nixon has tweeted, but if the administrators are to be believed and I don't see any reason why they shouldn't be, I would take Nixon's tweets with a large pinch of salt if he is saying anything other than the administrators. Perhaps you could copy and paste Nixon's tweet/s.

How do dirk kuyts consortium fit into all this? Are they one of the other 5 bidders and in position to take over while football ventures dither over their takeover offer. Becoming a farce imo. I officially give up.

posted on 21/6/19

it has been said that Kuyt is involved with his agent's consortium to buy a club. these so called journalists just jump the gun and say anything for click bait.
The same goes for Iles and Nixon, who have both come out with 'we know something but not telling you lot'
There is another rumour that the stalling on HOT is due to Ashley still not sold Newcastle.

Take it all with a pinch of salt and a beer, nobody knows anything and is guessing.

However, we still need a new clock.

Fancy that, not one but two reporters saying "It is definitely not for us to announce", And one of them a Sun reporter too.

posted on 21/6/19

So what does that mean? For swie. "There is a very good reason for football ventures bid delay. It is definitely not for me/us to announce. But shelve conspiracies and let them complete. If they don't... then there a major questions to be asked." So why are the administrators still dealing with fv and not one of the other bidders to complete? They've pulled out once I see them doing so again. Rumours abound. Want the hotel too but that being run by other admin and will end up in someone's greedy mitts who will make money out of it for themselves not the club. Another. They've not got enough money. Where's pasty and his cryptic hints when you need?

posted on 22/6/19

It could be the hotel that is holding everything up or it could be something else.perhaps they have totted up the wages bill which is due to be paid and they don't like the numbers.

As far as them pulling out again is concerned, I suppose it could happen but if there is a good reason, no one can blame them. The administrators have already stated that the winning bidder has enough money and they will have checked their funding so I think that it must be something else. Maybe it is the hotel or the wages. No doubt that everything will come out in due course.

As for reporters not printing a story, I find that difficult to believe, that is their work and if they had something to say I'm sure that it would have been said.

posted on 22/6/19

It must be Pasty's fault, the delay started just as he disappeared from here.

posted on 22/6/19

Reporters not printing a story about the delay smacks of a personal issue with one of the party rather than a hitch of any sort.

I'm sure the administrators won't want this dragging on any more than it should.

posted on 22/6/19

Maybe pasty was the new bidder with FV. Possibly opened his bank vault door, looked at his stash of cash and thought that he could do something more constructive with it, like open another string of pasty shops. He needs to get one in Altea.
