Bloke has like 100 senior appearances in a top 5 league that isn’t the PL

Yeah fair enough. I was just saying maybe I was wrong that we should sell. See Salah, Edwards etc. Obviously if Ange wants rid then we let him go just maybe with a buyback or sell on fee cos he could still turn out very good

But in those examples Salah was proven quality elsewhere and Edwards had no minutes so was unknown

He's been very good in Spain, hence all the appearances for a 22 year old. You can't have it both ways

Yeah he's been average for us but he's barely prem proven. Like I say, I'm not arguing that he's good but that he could well turn out to be given time.

I hate Bayern

Bayern have been linked with two other CBs today.

Had we just put up the money a week ago, we’d have him in the bag by now. As much as some fans will say it’s not Levy’s fault, I think it is. The constant lowballing has allowed Bayern the time to creep in.

You don't know that fridge. If his agent has been talking to Bayern there's every chance he/the club was stalling waiting on their offer

There's been so much noise around the whole deal and will he won't be I refuse to believe we're not being played. Just get Lloyd Kelly in or whoever and be done with it

Exactly, the player is not in a rush. We are. His agent has every right by his client to take his time to assess all offers.

Even if he goes to Bayern - because we have acted early in the market we will still have time to move onto another target.

Years gone by this would have been the twist with a day or 2 of the window to go - we’ve got weeks to move to plan B

yeah very daft to blame the club for this. we're not even 2 weeks into the window and nearly had 2 signings through the door, has any other club signed anyone yet? we've worked very quickly, can't control Bayern coming in for the same player as us

we seem to always have a backup plan at the minute so not too concerned
