All that is true but I don't see how it makes Gil a less bad signing for Spurs. You can't tell me a player who has contributed literally nothing is a better signing than someone who did produce SOME actual match contributions, just because he looks like he gives slightly more of a sheit
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The bigger the price, the bigger the scrutiny. Them the rules 🤷♂️.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'd say giving Sevilla £20m + Lamela + Bryan Gil himself for a year was a pretty big price for 40 games across 3 seasons
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Gil is 22yrs old. Ndombele is now 27 and in his prime.
Way to early to write Gil off but so far you put forward a good case.

The fecking Weetabix Man.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Worst Spurs signing in the past 20 years
----------------------------------------------------------------------
no chance.
not even the worst signing in the current squad.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Pound for pound (no pun intended) Ndombele is obviously the worst signing in our history. Record signing (still) and biggest flop.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Strong disagree. Spurs got a decent season out of Ndombele, 91 total games and 10 goals. Nowhere near what was hoped obviously, and he's still near the bottom of the pile for sure, but Gil has fewer than half the games (41) and precisely zero goals. Certainly nothing close to a decent season.
Obviously the focus is on Ndombele because of the price tag, but FFS, Gil cost £20m plus Lamela before going back to Sevilla on loan the year after.
I really don't get why Gil gets such an easy ride. He's been an absolute facking disaster. He's cost a fortune, barely played and when he has featured he's produced literally nothing.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Wait what? 91 appearances and 10 goals? No chance Ndombele played 91 times for Spurs.
He was here for three seasons before he started this series of loans, played 63 times got 6 goals and 5 assists, cost £53m on extortionate wages and has been a complete waste of facking space and time. We’ve had some reasonably big priced flops over the years but at least the others I can think of flopped while trying, Ndombele hasn’t even done that. You will never convince me this guy hasn’t been our worst ever signing, there is no case for the defence.
Spence £20m for 6 games is also right up there with a pretty bad flop.
Yeah Djed looks like he's heading the way of Ndombele. Could be impossible to shift if he doesn't sort it out

Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor has been released from his contract by mutual agreement.
The 31-year-old Togo international had not featured for Spurs this season and was left out of both their Premier League and Europa League squads.
"We wish Emmanuel well for the future," a Tottenham statement said.
Adebayor, who arrived from Manchester City for £5m in 2012, had a year to run on his contract and had been seeking a £5m pay-off to end it early.
Tottenham have not disclosed the terms of the termination agreement.
Speaking earlier this week, Tottenham head coach Mauricio Pochettino said Adebayor was not "in my mind or in the plans for the future of Spurs".

I notice Bryan Gil is up for sale not a loan. feckin right

The fecking Weetabix Man.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
I mean
The stats are straight off Transfermarkt, and I literally just did make the case for the defence
But sure, let's exaggerate for dramatic effect

Spence £20m for 6 games is also right up there with a pretty bad flop.

Big agree
