Was at Lords tonight, missed all the action! Very happy we are back in the contest. Over to the batsman... Please don't let us down.

at Lords...yeah I can see how you've missed the action...even the best seat won't afford you a view in Leeds...

warner first innings 100, going 2-0 down with 2 still to play unable to retain the ashes and with possibility to not win a match in the series. does it get any worse for english test cricket?
only positives have been not losing at lords

Day one of a test match.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I was spot on wasnt I
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’d like to think you have added as much value as me to that first innings.
So the plan for today is for you to slate England batsmen and me to go out again?
Today is the day that hopefully we will pile on the runs but is more likely we are all out by lunch.
We will go onto 7 tonight. Lets hope England are still batting then.Otherwise the ashes are looking like they have gone(in my opinion)
if we bat all day we win. if we get around 200 odd then aussies are favourites
I feel this day may define the overall result in the series as a whole. Absolutely critical.

On Sky they say the o Labuschagne as if it's French. But if it is it's from A German region of France as SCH in a name is typical of Germany of Netherlands. as he was born in SA, German or Dutch is quite likely,
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I read the other day that that's how the player himself says it, because it was constantly being mispronounced so he ended up adopting the easier pronunciation.
La-buh-SHANE
Obviously the Aussies would say Shane, right
Bowling Shane-o
Gut feeling that Roy will steal the show today. And that gut feel is pure hope.
steal the show with a diamond duck?
let's just hope he can make it through the first half an hour (assuming he opens), baby steps and all that.
England will win by an innings
or whatever the one is called where you get run out not facing a ball
nah we should absolutely win though. dont win this test now the whole lot should be sacked
we will go into the oval 2- 1 up still with the ashes in the balance.
if only we picked archer for edgbaston instead of injured anderson. not regaining the ashes could all be on playing with 10 men in the first test.
i dont care if he passed fitness tests, it was clearly a risk and royally facked us
Aus did the England batting collapse yesterday...
132-2.... 179 all out.
Are they sticking with the same order? Denly got a better technique against the new ball and is likely to stick around longer which will help Root and the guys below.
Just enjoying my morning of false hope of a solid batting performance before we are inevitably 30-3.
Should be the order: Burns, Denly, Root, Roy, Stokes, Buttler, Bairstow, Woakes, Archer, Broad, Leach
Will be the order: Burns, Roy, Root, Denly, Stokes, Bairstow, Buttler, Woakes, Archer, Broad, Leach

That's a diamond
Anyone else find it strange that Leach is batting 11?
As we saw against Ireland the guy can really hold a bat, I'd have him ahead of Broad, and probably Archer too.
warm today.. just been out. lets hope we make the aussies bowl 3 and 4 spells each!

His career average is 12.6. He's batting in the right place.

that was a freak innings
Need to be batting at stumps today to make our advantage count
280-5 would do me fine
