I'm not gonna waste my time repeating all the same criticisms I've been levelling at all the same people for so bloody long now.

On the plus side, once Bayliss is gone things should, in theory, improve. There's some serious, fundamental lessons (mental more than technical) that need drilling into this group of players, as well as whichever new batch of bats come in next.

I just hope we go with a set of coaches who care, and who keep a close eye on the county scene, and more than anything have a hands-on approach to training.

Feels like a mix of Stewart, Collingwood and Thorpe, something like that. Enough steel in there and at least they'd take it fking seriously. And hopefully they'd be able to come up with a long-term plan rather than just winging it from one match to the next, hoping that eventually they'll happen across the winning formula by sheer blind luck.

Bayliss and Roots captaincy are finished already.
