Absolutely perfect conditions to bat today. See off the new ball and there are runs to be had. Roy can't see off the new ball whatsoever so he definitely shouldn't open and I feel putting him down the order isn't right.

Two balls ago I said how comfortable it seemed for Jason Roy. You take the rough with the smooth with Roy, he's gone for a drive and there are so many dismissals at Headingley to that ball. A real frustration again.

Does that sort of drive translate to red ball cricket?

Cant stand Cook. he should have stayed on for the ashes. But hes never been the most intelligent person.

good that burns has convinced us though to be the number 1 opener. Same story regardless even if we win this series, will be looking for a new opener and specialist middle order batsman

We need a big innings from Root, it seems ages since we've seen one.

Watching the game on my phone and it looked like Roy would get out every ball. Cook is clueless if he actually thinks he looked comfortable.
