Well after all my ranting. I don't wanna lose to these lot. so am hoping Buttler can come off! a quidk fire 80 would be great
Its not even cloudy ffs. Sun is beaming down in Leeds
Useless. Today was the perfect day to basically win the test and get back into the series, instead we're handing the Ashes to them on a plate.

Labuschagne (after Smith) is the difference between the teams
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yep and the only reason he got out is because the other aussies batters are cannon fodder. Smith used to it so knows how to play with them.
Warner 60 odd runs, 3 catches. Contrast to the last match.
Got to just laugh now tbh.
omg wtf was that shot hahahahahaha
laughable in a very winnable position, a test match 1st innings when we need to just hang on in there and wait for the runs.
only Leach can save us now
no one in double figures yet
for a guy whos had a great summer that doesnt excuse that absolute catastrophe of a test match dismissal.

'If England can't win this Root should give up'
Geoffrey Boycott
Ex-England batsman on BBC Test Match Special
Joe Root might just be in a poor trot, that happens. But he has to start winning Tests against Australia, he's had seven goes and hasn't managed one yet.
He won't get a better day to bowl yesterday and a better day to bat today - he has to win this Test. If he can't win this then he may as well give up the job.
Their best batsman isn't playing, you couldn't ask for anything more. Root has had moments as captain when you think 'what the hell is going on here?'
Australia were 120-2 on a juicy pitch last night and we still had four slips. You had to stop the flow of runs. He hasn't grasped the nuances of the game.
You just know its gonna flatten out and Australia will get 400 in the second innings.
too many with a world cup hangover
Problem is you can't really blame this on Root. He's not the best captain but his decision to bowl first paid for, then he's the only one who's had a good ball, the rest have got themselves out.
I hope Root has a cunning plan!
You cant blame the world cup for this.. Remember NZ?? Broad was at 10. and we still got bowled out for 47..
