I think it should just be done by your feet, that’s where the contact with the floor is and it will be a lot easier to see if it’s on or offside. These lines they draw up to people’s armpits which they themselves say aren’t completely accurate are a joke

Scrap the f** thing, as it has no benefit whatsoeve.

Not so sure, it's helped Liverpool loads.
OP you forgot to mention Liverpool's handball goal as well.

To me it looks like they put the attacker line first, then the defenders just goes on top. This means they are level.
There should be at least a gap between the lines to say it is offside.
4 ridiculous calls this weekend to add to numerous others this season.
Those 2-3cm’s don’t benefit the attacker in the slightest. To rule goals out based on those fine margins is just criminal.
It's pretty simple - they should incorporate soft signals like in rugby, tennis and cricket. Ref makes the initial call and then checks it if there's doubt. As it is, the refs are just absolving themselves of any agency and leaving it entirely up to VAR, and that's a shambles when the computer measures it to infinitesimal detail which has no practical impact. And then build in an "umpire's call" margin for error.
My question is how Liverpool never seem to get any injuries to their key players
If it's Liverpool, United or Spurs - it counts. If it's anyone else - heads or tails?

Yep, i agree
VAR is fine, it’s the rules and the imbeciles running it that’s the issue.
Create clear rules around offside and handball and VAR might be useful
Problem is everyone is questioning it, but nobody is doing anything about it.

To be honest, when they first brought it in I assumed that's how it would be done. This barebones system is the worst of all worlds
VAR is part of the game forever now
There is no going back, it’s too accurate to deny
Atleast they are being consistent with the wrong decision. Next season, the offside rule needs a rework or chuck VAR in the bin.

Clearly they've gone all lance armstrong
As someone who goes to most home games I hate VAR with a vengeance. My main complaint is the delay and that I cannot cheer a goal now until they kick off on the restart. If they insist on using it I think they should just have replay the incident once and if there is no obvious error play on. I really don't care if the referee makes a mistake and if nothing else that will give me something to moan about if we lose but it won't ruin the whole experience of going to a live match.
It did look offside on the replay.

first time its benfited us? the first dodgy line armpit offside went against us at Villa did it not?
dont remember you lot up in arms about it when it was almost costing us and cost us vs Utd.
Madness another one at the Emptihad it’s killing footie and excitement, 25 frames a second they can make the decision how they want
It's not VAR, VAR only applies the law and the law says you can't have any part of the body which can play the ball offside. Since his foot was offside, VAR applied the law correctly.
VVD handled in the build up to the VARpool goal also, predictably they ignored it
