Your idea that the season will be voided, you didn't say what happens to teams fighting for promotion. What happens to West Brom and Leeds for example? There would still be mass court cases if the season is voided.
You claim other options are unfair but your suggestion is also equally, if not more unfair. Perhaps you don't see it that way because it benefits your club.
Also, even if games can't be played, I'm going to stick my neck out and categorically state that we will not be reverting to last seasons result. How is that more fair than calling the season as it is? It would be stupid and ridiculous IMO.
Furthermore, I've not seen this possibility discussed or proposed anywhere serious, only on forums like this one. I haven't seen any respectable sources for that personally.
I am not unbiased towards making this season void and null as it has already been disrupted badly and the logistics of behind the closed doors makes it almost a mockery if they tried to do it. Imagine players at the tunnel having to respect the 2m social distancing rule, we would have the biggest queue of players and specially if players can't line up next to each other because of the distancing! Also how would you take a throw, what will you have players using hand sanitizers before throwing the ball?
No, I think that is ridiculous.
But not playing out the season will cost us dearly.
It's anticipated the sum we would lose out is close to £80million pounds with half of it from TV revenues.
So either way - it's tricky really.

Why is that ridiculous Wahl?
Liverpool and their fans stand to lose out the most if they season is declared null and void. So I understand their concerns about voiding the season.
Without a doubt, Liverpool has been head and shoulders above almost all the teams, and maybe they were starting to stumble before the virus took over, but surely with that kind of margins, they are uncatcheable!
So no wonder their fans feel the most aggrieved!

Ok, I get you.
I think for Liverpool fans, articles that discuss voiding the season is like a double edged sword. They feel almost they are being trolled by these articles, and are thus very defensive. Though most of them are cool.
They know this is a forum and we are all just discussing football after all.

Like I said earlier on, if that said they voided the season, and it may look like Spurs could be one of the winners, because put it this way, it was our worst season in over 5 seasons, in the long term losing the revenue will hurt us too.
So no real winners in my view.
