The only thing that would strip the premier league of credibility would be not finishing the current season.
Liverpool deserve the title.
Leicester deserve CL.
Chelsea, United, Wolves and Sheffield deserve a shot at CL
But most of all, given that it’s probably the most competitive professional league in Europe, teams at the top of the Championship deserve their chance to escape it this year without having to replay an entire season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why do the teams that are only two points a head of spurs or 3 above arsenal get mentioned and not those two?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because if they void the season then Spurs will default to CL...
And Arsenal are toilet.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Arsenal still had a good chance as any mentioned.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fine, throw the bottlers into the mix if that’ll make you happy,

---
Playing games while hundreds of people are dying per day in a pandemic would be worse. Getting the players and staff tested before health workers would be far worse.
You only have to look at the PR disaster of clubsb furloughing staff to see what public opinion would be if they went ahead too soon. There are no easy or obvious solutions to this.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Playing safe behind closed doors football matches has nothing to do with people dying. In fact, people could use the distraction.
Clubs could use their own medical teams to test people. They have the resources at their disposal.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If they can do that, then let's use that facility to test those on the front line who really need it. Spurs are doing hat already but can only get through 70 a day which would need to be a lot higher of we were to really make a difference.

Nothing to do with people dying?? Christ. You need a reality check. It's all most people are worried about.
Again, safe by what definition? And when?
The issue is that there are a limited number of tests. While you might be right - clubs could afford to do it privately - the public won't like it if nurses aren't able to get a test while a footballer can. You can argue that all you like, but it's a PR disaster waiting to happen. Besides, as I understand it, a lot of clubs have turned over their medical staff to help with the Covid effort.
“ Totally agree, it would totally unfair. The fairest solution would be to have no European competitions next season.”
Do you not think clubs will need revenue from European football more than ever?

In the context of finishing the season safely behind closed doors with players that have been tested and are COVID-free, it’s completely irrelevant.
I’d also challenge your claim that most people are worried about dying. I haven’t spoken to a soul since the outbreak that has expressed any such concern, whether that be clients, colleagues, neighbours, friends or family.

I said they're worried about people dying. If they're not they're psychopaths.
The tests should go to health workers and the vulnerable before sports players or celebrities. I'd rather my elderly relatives feel safe and secure to go out again, and NHS staff feel safe going to work, than watch weird games of football with empty stadiums.
