Doggie, there will be no European Football next season. Do you really think the authorities are going to allow footballers to fly all around Europe playing footie for the next year or so. For a start quarantine of any flyers will still be in all probability in place until the New Year at the earliest, in most European countries.
It aint happening, get a grip fella.
Maybe they will give CL places based on clubs who have stadiums with testing facilities already available.
Welcome to the CL 20/21 Tottenham Hotspur

It will be months before next season's European competitions start. Things can change a lot in that time.

That's not the point here though. I've already said if government and experts deem the risk too great and don't allow it, football simply cannot be played. I'd be cool with that if there's no other option.
However, if it proceeds and games are played, I'm pointing out their is zero chance of reverting to last season. I've provided extracts of the guidelines to prove this beyond doubt.
No need for delusion and wishful thinking because the guidelines expressly state it must be this season.

There is no fair and safe way of completing the season.
The season has now had its integrity compromised.
Behind closed doors, points per game, current league placings or overlapping into next season are all littered with impossible complexities and are extremely unfair.
The fairest and safest solution is to follow the Dutch course of action and cancel European football for next season.
Under these horrific circumstances, this solves a lot of problems and difficulties, minimizes the impact of clubs feeling `hard done by` to an absolute minimum, and is the safest, fairest and most sensible outcome for the vast majority.

Like a record on repeat but oblivious to the fact the Dutch league is nothing like the PL.
They had barely had a lockdown in holland and their teams have next to no costs in comparison to our teams. They also sacrifice next to no TV money from stopping the season. They did what's best for their league. Assuming it's best for ours just cos our teams also play the same sport is moronic.
If you don't want closed doors, which is what will happen, then you're writing off next season and this one. Social distancing will apply to at least Xmas.
Basically you're idea would mean most clubs going under.
Clubs won't let their assets risk death. People also saying it shouldn't be about the money are missing the point. Safety won't be compromised, but without money clubs won't exist. Comparing the PL to a league that's like our div 1, excluding maybe 3-4 Dutch teams, is pointless.

100%. I want life to get back to normal, I’m sick of it. I know it’s not the same as the poor people losing their lives, but I was meant to be getting married next month in Italy. This poxy thing has postponed that. Of course my problems are not a patch on people losing their lives, but it’s still something In my life that has been impacted. Not to mention countless things being put on hold. We all want a bit of normality and if it’s footy behind closed doors for now, then so be it. None of us want football without fans, but it’s certainly better than no football. I would love to see some football back soon.

Everyone has agendas on BOTH sides of the argument. You mention your fellow Tottenham fans but don't act like the Liverpool fans on here give a furrrk about literally anything from a football perspective other that Hendo lifting that trophy. They don't care about whether other teams have financial trouble or whatever other 100 reasons they'll give as to why the season will and should resume, in regards to football this about one thing and one thing only for them and that is that they get the satisfaction of watching this season conclude in whatever way it has to.
If Man City were leading the way currently, none of them would be here, going on and on, day after day about how important it is the season should resume. Everyone has agendas.

Wants the season cancelled because Spurs are crap and revert to last season's results so that Spurs can be in the Champios League through the backdoor. Failing that, wants next season's Champions League cancelled because Spurs won't be in it and so as to deny rivals the opportunity. All under the guise of caring about the covid pandemic.

I can’t help but feel a lot of agendas on here masking it like they give a sh** about the pandemic and disappointingly from my own Spurs supporters to.

its a bit shameful, I wouldn't begrudge any team being handed the title in our situation.
Yes I would laugh and take the pi$$ but wouldn't act as though it wasn't thoroughly deserved.
Would be nice to win it on the field though, and I can't wait for some sports to be back on TV.
Lets see what happens over the next month or so.

Lets look at this another way for the benefit of those who have the very odd opinion that current places should stand.
If I was sitting an exam but I was only given 75% of the questions then told I'd failed I would not accept the situation.
I would want the opportunity to answer the remaining 25% or it be declared null and void.

Unfortunately UEFA are some of those people that have that very odd opinion.
