Quite a lot of similarities between United and Chelsea really.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Apart from the £200m spent since last summer
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh and the 400 penalties
----------------------------------------------------------------------

But not taking into account the style of attack changing that attracts more penalties?

If your club has the money, then it spends it.

You guys should know that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes United are the only team who ever enter the opposition penalty area, forgot about that
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You also forgot about the dynamic attack that has caused it. But whatever suits your agenda.

If you look at possession and time in the opposition box, Chelsea are third in the league. United have players who know how to fall over - some extremely soft decisions despite VAR. We need neutral referees.

I think considering Chelsea ultimately secured 4th place over Lester City, a team with a worse squad than Chelsea, that finishing 4th isn't a crazy good achievement. Its basically where Chelsea should be.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Same Leicester that won the premiership recently? The one that was in the top 4 most of the season, top 3 until recently?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, Lester City. a worse team than Chelsea. Unless you'd seriously say you think they have a better squad than Chelsea.

Would you seriously say that?
---------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't judge teams on squads I judge them on performance, that's what gets you results and if you are good enough, trophies.

Wahl why don’t you go back to sucking the cheesy end of Jose’s kn’ob you boring c’nt
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why don't you debate my point? Is finishing 4th above 5th place Lester City some great overachievement or to be expected? I think had we finished 5th and missed out on CL because of Lester that would have been a failure personally.

What? OK let me make this simple, are Chelsea a better team than Lester, yes or no? If your answer is yes, like it should be, why is finishing above them an over-achievement?

But you would now say their squad is probably par for where they’ve finished.

Only because Lampard has played and got the best out of a group of players filled with relative unknowns prior to this season.

Chelsea finished above Leicester, Spurs, Arsenal and Wolves to name but a few. Spurs managed by the amazing Jose to boot. Jose must have had a terrible season then by your reckoning

Chelsea and United taking advantage of a weakened Premier League to finish in the CL places.

In seasons gone by, when the league was strong, Chelsea and United would have finished 8th and 10th.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Congrats, you won the weakened league.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Exactly. Don't feel bad about it.

Even Villa have taken advantage of a weakened Premier league to survive relegation. This is a sound argument

Many opposition fans underestimated us at the start of the season, but it doesn’t take away from the job Lampard’s done.
-----
Agreed, but for me I remember very well predicting Chelsea to be in the top 4 at the very start of the season. I also said Spurs and United would miss out on CL football. 3 out of 4. Not bad at all. Just saying.
