Wahl and his straw man arguments...

Can you just answer me why finishing above Lester City is supposedly an amazing overachievement? Because I don't see it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You can't even spell Leicester correctly, yet you clamour for credibility and to be taken seriously!

Coming from a glory hunting Chelsea fan
Why do you support Chelsea and not Aston Villa or Birmingham city?

Oh god, please don't go over it again for the sake of this attention seeker, we know the story.

TBF though if they hadn't splashed out on him in January, they'd have underachieved even more than they have anyway - I doubt they'd have even made the Europa!

Also, with the benefit of hindsight, both Utd and Chelsea finished where their respective squads should have.
Just because people predicted Chelsea would finish 6th, doesn’t mean they should have. You can’t judge young players until they’re given the chance and they’ve proven to be better than expected.
Arsenal and Spurs had terrible seasons, so Chelsea and Utd would be expected to finished top 4 in their absence.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's not the point is it? Chelsea over achieved most people and pundits expectations. It's not just Arsenal and Tottenham but Wolves and Leicester were serious contenders. No big spend due to ban and losing Hazard whilst others spent big. Rookie manager and I think 6 debuts this season.

But as I have said before....the one constant in football is never ever rely on North London football for anything

Is this because Ole hasn't been given the credit for his achievement this season ?
Lampard walked into a very very difficult job. Hazard was a big loss for Chelsea, he was by far the biggest player for Chelsea. Lampard had to make do with inexperienced youngsters, an erratic gk, who only managed in the championship, before making a big jump, was a tough tough ask to finish in the top 4.
He has exceeded my expectation this season.

Tottenham yes, and to me, Arsenal had a better goalkeeper and better forwards - to use your own phrasing, they were better equipped at the business ends of the pitch.
Our midfield is better, and we both have clown car defences.

Arsenal have had two better keepers

We're third. Let those below worry about us,, we can worry about catching City and Liverpool.
It’s what he does next season with some of his own signings that will define him. Didn’t start with a bad squad, but think he made them a better unit and the additions he has, plus ones he will need in defence will make or break him.

Chelsea and United taking advantage of a weakened Premier League to finish in the CL places.
In seasons gone by, when the league was strong, Chelsea and United would have finished 8th and 10th.

Liverpool taking advantage of a weakened premier league to win it in all other seasons they were tom.
