Pretty much a chanceless opening period I think? Burns edge between slip and gully probably the closest they came to taking a wicket along with the odd play and miss but an unbeaten opening stand in the opening period is a perfect start.
I know New Zealand made a lot of changes but they've got Boult and Wagner in there and whilst a poor test bowling average, Henry has taken a lot of wickets for Kent over the past few years so has bowled a lot in England.
Need to pick it up this afternoon...Test cricket or not, it's really not good enough in terms of entertainment & the good of the game
Sky's Spinwash series brings back memories.
First over in a session, every fecking time.

Yeah we didn't need a wicket there...
Another hour at least would have been handy. Decent ball from Henry but Sibley had been leaving those all morning.
Hmmm, Crawley surely close to losing his chance. That's poor from him and he is a waste of a player at the moment. Need to have the balance between giving a big enough chance and blowing it.
Crawley has one more innings to save his current test career you feel
I would drop Crawley for a VERY long time after that shot. ridiculous and no need to do it..
Looks like Crawley double ton last year was a fluke.
He could have just left that alone.. Any ideas why he played at that ball? NO me neither

Such a poor shot. Wide and shouldn't even be tempted by those that early in the innings.
He always prods at it
Well we weren't instantly shat today,...but we got round to it quick enough
Doesn't Crawley average under 20 if you take out his double ton?
Barring a big second innings that should be him back to county cricket.
He is far too loose for this level.
Really don't we have any other batsmen in this country? Is it about hope that these eventually make it, how long will that take? you can't send these out against the Aussies, lambs to the slaughter

I was just thinking to myself after his pair of 2s that he couldn't do much worse in this test but that he could still do worse. Wouldn't be surprised if he ended up with a pair now.
Sigh.
Useful 35 from Sibley but it's a familiar story at the moment. Break in play, drop in concentration, wicket gone, followed swiftly by another.
Crawley is definitely running out of chances, you feel
