Will you be starting a 'Fergie Out' movement?

SAF used to play the likes of Bebe in the group stages of the CL, so he knows he's speaking a bit of nonsense there... Ole and Ronaldo will also know it, as a 36 year old can't play every game.

Also I am not suggesting, like some people, we should block him from entering Old Trafford like some angry mob. He isn't a Glazer, we shouldn't be protesting against him coming to OT or threatening to turn over his car but action should be taken by Ole.

I'd say it was reasonable to think that if he doesn't apologise to Ole then it may get escalated and potentially result in his seat being revoked. So for example if he wanted to go to a game he'd just have to buy a normal ticket and sit with the general public.

Choosing when Ronaldo should and shouldn't play is always going to be a tough one, but doing so successfully is the sort of thing that separates the best managers, like SAF, from managers that don't win anything.

He has a valid point and is as entitled to his opinion as you are - provably more so actually.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fergie got numerous big decisions wrong. Like at HT during the 2011 final deciding not to man mark Messi with Park. Didn't hear Bobby Charlton come out and say it. Fergie in the wrong.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He may have said something if we hadn't started Rooney in that game.

He questioned it because it was a questionable call. This isn't North Korea, Culer
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He's still in the wrong. It's putting pressure on Ole and trying to derail the players.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Do you think Ole is at the level of managerial quality that SAF was ?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
For where Ole is now, compared to where Fergie was in 1989 I would actually say he's doing better.

1989 was horrid for United. Awful footie and people hounding Fergie out.

Tbf a dead rubber game in the CL is different to a crucial PL game against a side level on points with us. Especially as it was our last game for 2 weeks.

People keep saying Ronaldo is 36 but he’s a freak. Ronaldo at 36 is like someone else at 30. Play him, try and get a couple of goals up and sub him at 60 mins.

Is it time we banned Fergie from Old Trafford?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Have you got that sort of power?

Crivens!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We, the fans, hold all the power. If we don't want him inside Old Trafford then we can block him from entering. Ole is a club legend reaching European finals as a manager in the toughest era of football. Fergie won us things against binmen in the 90s. He should not be anywhere near our club these days.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Just to change the subject slightly, did you and Culer ever go an another date?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That was me and pun was it not? Me and Culer have only conversed via the site's official helpdesk email account where I helped him verify himself. We have yet to go on a date.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nah, definitely Culer. You regaled us with a most entertaining tale about online dating and cross dressing (unless Pun does that too, which is absolutely fine)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ah ok. I must have been too smashed to remember. See if you can find it so I can try and refresh my memory.

He would play some strange line ups long before dead rubber games. It bordered on arrogance, but he deserved to do what he wanted and would navigate us through the group.

Personally, I would have gone all out against Everton too, with internationals on the way... But it's hard to say that playing a fresh Cavani instead of knackered Ronaldo was anything other than playing the best player on the day.

Revoke his access?

He’s got a stand named after him
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well if Fergie wants to get brave, Ole should show him who the real manager is now.

This is one of the many times SAF is wrong and is suffering from memory lapse. Ronaldo can not play every game and Cavani needed minutes on the pitch.

And let’s not forget, we were winning when Ronaldo did come on.

Rumour has it that he played a part of bringing Ronaldo back. That, I am 100 % sure will turn out to be a wrong move long term.

posted on 5/10/21

Robb, if you have an asset like Ronaldo you cannot just chuck him in every week. He's 36! He's like Connery's Aston Martin. If you use it correctly then perfect, but if you use it every day then it'll break down.

Assets need to be valued correctly and then protected. Ole is in the right.

Either way cracks starting to show now.

Far too big and unbalanced squad, issues were always likely to arise. Faster than I thought though must admit.

Ole needs to take Fergie into his office and give him the hairdryer treatment. Show him who is boss.

Culer, who do you think is a better manager, Ole or Fergie? Bearing in mind Fergie has never proven himself in this era of football?

posted on 5/10/21

Ole is so far off being a top manager it's not surprising fergie wasn't full of praise. Takes more than being a nice bloke, being united through and through and spending hundred million + a year to be a top united boss.

Ole will never ever get even close to fergie level. Fergie also has every right to be critical with what he achieved. That's why Ole will say nothing and just cross his arms 😅

Ole and Ferguson spent 20 years ish together. Anyone who has shared a dressing room with Keane and Ferguson probably wouldn't be mortally upset about someone voicing an opinion. Ole might even agree in hindsight or not. I suspect he doesn't give a stuff.

If you look at it impartially then you have to say Ole is ahead of Fergie's curve already.

Fergie took over in winter '86. Fast forward 3 years and in winter '89 things were truly awful for us.

Ole took over in winter '18. Fast forward 3 years and we have:

* Already secured back to back top four spots
* Made it to a major final
* Engaged with a title race
* Have gone unbeaten away from home for an entire season
* Currently in title race and a few points off top

Before people say 'Ole has spent X' you have to just accept that footie has changed now and players cost more.

posted on 5/10/21

Fergie in his first 3 years as a manager won nothing for us in a crap era. Ole has had us finish 2nd and win the Europa League (we won it off Villarreal last week in the rematch) in the toughest era of all time, where you are competing against clubs who pay billions, not against the dog and duck who pay players in pie and chips.

Ole was with Fergie as a player for 10 years. He did go onto the coaching staff after and took over the reserves. I still do take exception with what Fergie has done, Ole will do too more than likely because it's just negativity being spread.
