The Beeb have turned into ultra woke leftist sensitive snowflakes. They won't even show you a clip on the news of someone getting told off without preceding it with a warning saying "Some viewers may find the following scenes disturbing".
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sounds like they need to start putting a warning before their warnings for your sake
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yep.
"Be warned, the following warning contains over the top sensationalism"

“sorry I am not posting any of the lovely images you have sent of sunny scenes this morning, but because of the severity of what's to come...”
How is this not fear mongering? What is so severe that justifies people enjoying the sun being considered insensitive?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The quote literally describes them as lovely images.
Oh ffs don’t be so pedantic and answer the question

I did answer your question. How can you argue a quote that describes people's photos as lovely is accusing them of being insensitive?
Will the BBC refuse to show snow if we have a harsh Winter?
Aurora Borealis shows ‘lovely images’ in far more extreme weather than 35-40C heat but there’s no problem showing it on TV, so again, please tell me why it’s so insensitive to show people enjoying the sun?

Why would I tell you why something is insensitive when nobody has argued that it is insensitive?
Again you are being pedantic to avoid answering the question as you know you are wrong.
Your denial of fear mongering
All I've denied is that a quote which describes people's photos as lovely obviously isn't also accusing them of being insensitive. I haven't said anything about fear mongering
You literally just defended my accusation of BBC fear mongering because they used the words ‘lovely images’

Yeah you asked how that quote isn't fear mongering. So I said it obviously wasn't. Because it obviously isn't
It’s not fear mongering because the images are lovely
The vast majority of people don’t really need to be told what to do/not to do, but everything has to be aimed at the ‘lowest denominator’ as someone described it earlier. Sadly, we do live in a blame culture society, and you can guarantee that the government and relevant parties would be heavily criticised if one person dies of a heat related cause and all the warnings were not published.
If they don’t apply to you then just ignore it and don’t get so wound up, otherwise you’ll just get all hot and bothered and wish you’d taken notice of all the warnings 👍

How do you think "I'm not going to share your lovely photos" is
a) an example of fear-mongering
b) an accusation of insensitivity
“but because of the severity of what's to come...”
So simply describing the heat wave as severe is in itself fear mongering?
One thing I haven’t seen much of is the going into water warnings. You can guarantee that by the end of the weekend there will be several stories of people dying after getting into difficulties in various water sources. They always seem to post the dangers after people have died!
Are you honestly this stupid?

Not sure about fear mongering, but it’s certainly a massive over dramatisation.

Nothing wrong with posting the dangers. It would be irresponsible not to. The sun is obviously dangerous and more than likely is gonna kill someone who didn’t take the adequate precautions this weekend.
Hopefully that person doesn’t die from seeing a photo of someone in the sun though.

From the guy who thinks a weather reporter has accused people taking pics of the weather of being insensitive whilst also describing the photos as lovely I take that as a compliment
