This. Anyone who doesn't know that these temperatures can cause serious health issues including death has never done any physical work in this kind of heat. A healthy guy in his early 20s working in a lumber yard died here last year from heat stroke.

Yeah it can get anyone. When I was in the security industry we used to carry sandbags up several flights of outside stairs on oil tankers in the middle of the Indian Ocean. Surrounded by metal, it was hotter than anything we’re in store for here, it was brutal.

Funny you mention ships. I worked in ship repairs for a long time and sometimes we'd have to repair boilers in this heat. Add to that the heat from the boilers and it was effin horrible. At times we'd have to get buckets of cold water to put the spanners in so we could hold them.
