It's probably because he's better suited to a fast counter-attacking style of football, and Setién clearly favours a possession-based style.

How many of you have actually seen him play? For a loan with an option this is a bloody good player.

Exactly. It's so weird. Someone should remind them it's January and we have a manager that doesn't want to commit beyond the rest of the season. Why should we take risks with an obligation to buy a player for a man that is very likely to not be here in a few months? These fans aren't being fair. Sure, Levy has been a tight arrrrrse down the years but this is not one of those times. I think it makes perfect sense given the circumstances.

he is an immediate upgrade on 22/23 season Son, but so is richarlison in that position.

we need defensive reinforcement but I'm not angry at this. its not bad business.

I am certain Son has to play for commercial reasons. there is no other excuse for having him stinking out the first team with good options on bench
