The oil lamps will be burning bright in Lewis this winter
So much blubber hasn’t been seen in one place since the last time 666 made a public appearance.
Cheers Ang!
Morgan Whittaker has joined Plymouth on a permanent transfer from Swansea.
We've apparently got Charlie Lindsay on trial this week and Blackburn Rovers plus two or three other Championship clubs are interested too.
Derby have signed Justin Oguntolu from Spurs as part of their Academy scholars. I knew at some point PW would bring a strong Nigerian player in. He's had a habit of recruiting Nigerian players in the past. Wouldn't mind a young Yakabu. He'd tear up this division.

Seeing reports surface on Twitter linking us with Jordan Rhodes and Billy Sharpe again. I know we need a striker but can’t see either of these two being anything other than agents trying to get interest.
Can't see it confirmed yet but informed Charlie Lindsay has signed for the U21 squad. ( Had the impression he'd be a first team squad player)

Just saw that on the DET site which mentions he has his UEFA A license and that he will occasionally play for the U21’s as an overage player. Don’t see the point in that one, he can learn them what he wants in training.

I know he’s been playing in the Championship but his goal scoring record over the past few years has been abysmal. If he does sign then maybe he will flourish in league one, a bit like Didzy did, but personally, I think Didzy is more of an intelligent footballer. Happy to be proved wrong.

I get what you're saying Kentucky but I think it's a smart move that more clubs are adopting. Having an experienced head on the pitch to support and guide the Academy players when things are not working out will be beneficial.
I wasn't Johnson's biggest fan over the years and did say to somebody today if it was a choice between him and gorgeous George as player coach it's no contest.
Johnson lives in the area, still shown an affinity to the club and players so I welcome the move.
Rhodes is not worrying one, isn't it? It's definitely building momentum that we're interested but he spent a good chunk of last season injured. He was a lethal striker but injuries have reduced his predatory impact.
But then, if PW and co see something in him I'll give Rhodes the benefit of doubt. I'd personally like to see Josh Maja join but he'll be holding out for higher wages.

Agree mate, like you say if PW et al. see something then who are we to argue. I don’t know much about Josh Maja but I’ll take your word he’s decent and obviously a lot younger and will definitely add more pace.

I apologize, ignore the above regarding PW, it looks like some immature twonk is trying to cause unrest.
Re Rhodes, I’m struggling to see any logic other than the obvious huge positive that it would cause Spart’s head to explode. He’s always been a fantastic finisher but there is nothing else to his game. If it was a choice between him and Sharp I would much rather have the latter but surely there is too much baggage there between him and a section of the fans. I wish we would get on and sign someone up front though.
Based on the several times I've watched him I've concluded that Rhodes is lazy. He used to be a regular scorer but that ability seems to have been on the decline for some time. I just don't see him as a PW type of player unless he is employed as an impact sub but we can't afford to carry anyone.
Sharpe surely is too old now. I don't think he scored that many last season. He would be more of a PW type but again he could only be used as an impact sub. Finally I can't imagine Sharpe ever playing for us after the disgusting moronic behaviour of some of our so-called fans.
PS I hope we are casting the net over the lower leagues for a young, hungry striker. Peterborough have been brilliant at unearthing talent this way so I don't see why we cannot do it also.
I need help from those of you outside UK who subscribe to Rams TV. Even though my monthly subs are up to date I could not access the Matlock game and cannot now access the Chesterfield game. The video screen shows "currently not broadcasting".
This makes no sense and I wonder if any more of you have had/are having the same problem. You may know I am in USA.
I may have to try phoning DCFC if all else fails but I don't know if I will reach a real person!
Thanks.
Hi Chicago, as I understand it, the pre-season friendlies are not covered by your subscription and you have to purchase an additional £5 pass per game.
As always, Im happy to be corrected
