I take it back. Sorry JC.
Many thanks Ang and if you are right I had no idea that was the case. I'm sure I was able to watch pre-season with no extra payment last season. I've e-mailed the club and await their response with interest.
At least Collo scored later on!
On DET:
Bradley Johnson
He is on the bench for Derby tonight, but it must be stressed that he is not registered for the first team this season. He is purely here to help build his fitness because he will be playing for the under-21s next season.
That's a shame, purely to create annoyance for our more negative minded fans.
I was interested to know what our lineup looked like, for those interested:
(First half):
GK: Vickers
CBs: Nelson, Bradley, Cashin;
WB: Ward & Thompson(?) (Is that correct?)
CM: Robinson, Hourihane (c), Bird,
CF: N M-L & Collins
(Should Ang critcise Collins again it's likely he'll score!)
And what a cross for his goal.
I'm liking the look of Joe Ward

I think Heb needs to know that it also features 'Shins'
Can anyone explain why someone who over the last 10 years has received over £3M after tax, needs a testimonial. In the days of the maximum wage a testimonial was an an important part of a players career usually enabling them to buy a business when their career ended. If Forsyth needs that financial help he must have been extremely profligate.
Nice to see you're your warm, sunny self Spart during this close season.
I'm not entirely sure if years gone by that was the primary reason, I've always associated testimonials with honouring a player's commitment to one club for 10+ years.
As for what he earns and what he'll be receiving from the testimonial, we don't know ( please update once confirmed) if the proceeds will be going to a charitable cause of his choice.

Well that is a better use but I never rated him as a full back. Had one good season in 2013/4, but for most of his career he has been a liability in that position.
This line up will be a strong indication of our first XI
Derby (3-5-2): Wildsmith, Nelson, Bradley, Cashin; Ward, Bird, Hourihane, Smith, Thompson; Collins and Mendez-Laing.
( Elder when fit would replace Thompson and Cashin would possibly compete with Forsyth).
Has Sibley played any games for Derby? Being 'injured' during pre season could mean keeping him safe from injury so he's a sellable asset.
If Sibley does go, how many from our Academy could take a spot in midfield, how many would we need? If Bird is being converted into a no.8 we certainly do need a midfield destroyer. I also saw that Tom Rogic has been released by WBA, his experience at Celtic could come in handy for our midfield.
Should Thompson not make the grade as a LWB , the back ups in midfield if our Academy players are not quite ready and a predatory striker means we're still minimum 5 players short. If we require cover for our other CBs you could say SEVEN players still required.
Nice touch by Bryson with his squad number:
5-0
