Stays fit could be a very good player at this level. Injuries and fitness have been his main issues.
Theo Walcott is currently training with Reading who haven't dismissed the idea of signing him. With ex Southampton manager at the helm he'll certainly be attempting to get Theo on board.
He may be 34 but could certainly do a job and it'd help them recruit better quality too. They certainly do have a major overhaul.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Reading had points deductions the past two seasons for exceeding their expenditure. Their income is unlikely to increase in Div 1 so how can they possibly afford his wages?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
By cheating. They're not under an embargo , Walcott would clearly have to drop what he's been on for Reading to have a chance.
I suggest that we should desist from commenting on other clubs "alleged" misdemeanours. We have just survived, let nature take its course, and concentrate on matters Rams. đ
It is the first preseason friendly at Matlock on Saturday so I would expect couple more signings before then
Have we signed Washington yet. Has his own ready made, Geno, Geno, Geno.
Academic inspiration, you gave me none.
Odd because Geno Washington later went to university and the keyboard player of the Ram Jam band is now emeritus professor of linguistics at Edinburgh University.
Washington’s degree was in hypnotism so probably this is what Kevin Rowland means when he says he took no academic inspiration from him. Apparently the lyrics are true in that Rowland did see Geno Washington when the former was young (“the lowest head in the crowd that night&rdquo.
That shouldn’t have happened. ( “ the lowest head in the crowd that night” )

That is disappointing, I hope he left on his own volition, and not been pushed out. It's been rumoured we have inquired about Freddie Ladapo from Ipswich.
That's an interesting one UT. I had wondered about him as I don't think he played much for Ipswich last term and he had played for PW at Rotherham. I have an idea we expressed an interest a couple of seasons back but were rebuffed.
I thought that he and Warne had fallen out at Rotherham. Good player though.
Doesn't look like Ipswich want to entertain the idea of selling him. He (Ladapo) seems to be the ideal type of player for Warne-ball, have to look in the bargain bins and on loan from other clubs for a similar type of player.
Sam Nomble (Exeter City) seems a good option, young, pacey, strong and with 15 goals in L2. Prizing away their asset with very little money is the difficulty in a key position.
Not said this in a few years but we could do with a gem like Raziak this season. A Polish player that delivers
Unless something happens soon in the transfer market we will be starting the season with a weaker team than last season.

Certainly a stronger one than this time last season though ...
As we have until 1st Sept there's plenty of time to find the players and the right personalities that Warne is seeking.
If we're attempting to find the key , first team positions late August then we can be concerned.
There will be a lot to sieve through to find the right type of players. Davies managed to get a lot of quality players agreeing to play on reduced wages, time for Warne to flex his negotiating skills. I don't expect there to be many signings of the quality from last season. More hardened professionals offering consistent 7/10 performances.

He guess he certainly has something to offer for Rangers to sign him from Blackpool.
Having played 27 games ( 26 on loan ) and with 0 goals return for a striker he needs to have something rather special to offer in L1.
