Home kit revealed:

Going retro with our kits circa 1991.

We all have an opinion, I'm pleased to see we're back with the white socks, not a bad looking kit

Well that’s £60 saved unless the other 2 are a big improvement

I think it's a move in the right direction.

* No betting agency sponsor
* Homage to yesteryear kit
* Good colours

Let's not forget the Just Eat and BuyAnyMobile kits

Another good interview with PW on Derbys Live in which, amongst a lot more, he suggests that the age limits for signings have been widened to between 21 and 32 and wider in the case of strikers. This could mean Washington may fit his bill.

He has said that Knight is almost certain to leave, but he is very close to signing a striker.

Here's hoping it's for the right price.

Cheers for the soundbite updates!

Luton Town central defender Sonny Bradley joins Derby on two year deal. PW adding some extra steel in to that defence.

Great signing. Maybe Washington to be announced soon too, less exciting but would be welcome cover up front.

Nelson, Bradley, Cashin, Fozzy.
Strong line up, but which one do you leave out ?
🤔

Washington now announced.

So, who's getting a Sonny B tattoo ?

Both new lads give excellent interviews on the Club website and Bradley looks huge!

Sonny Bradley, sounds like a 1950s blues singer. Washington is a 1960s Northern soul artist. Nelson of course is 1940s big band so what other genres of music do we want. Please no rappers, they all have stupid names.

Rooney and Forsyth probably start the season as cover unless Fozzy is left wing back. Think we might see a new player there though. At the moment it would look like Smith, Bird and Hourihane in midfield with Collins and either Washington or NML beside him. Need more firepower than that methinks.

Don't forget Edgar, who would be 1st choice LWB and Forsyth could offer cover at LWB and LCB positions.

Upfront options
Collins + Barks
Washington + NML

Sibs could also offer support upfront but we certainly do need more quality.

I'm in two minds whether Troy Deeney could offer us 10-15 goals at this level?

I know that for some tendency to ignore the national side of things but we should acknowledge Lee Carsley and his U21s in this evenings Euro final 👏

Well said Heb. I've tried to find a TV broadcast of the final without success and while I could access Rams TV for the Matlock game it proved impossible to watch for some reason. So if any of you posters were able to watch that game please give your thoughts/impressions etc. Who, if anyone stood out, for example?

Just watched the highlights. Always difficult to draw conclusions from a game like this but for what it's worth Thommo and Ward looked good while young Brown was very impressive - quick and strong.

Yes a lot of credit must be given to Carsley for this one, he has done a great job the whole competition.

I watched the second half in a bar in Basel. Fairly pedestrian pre-season fare. I didn’t actually think Liam Thompson had a very good game to be honest, seemed to give the ball away. Cashin also looked a bit rusty. Brown up front occasionally looked lively. No conclusions to be drawn really.

I know very little about Brown, is he from our Academy?
I've just finished reading Sonny Bradley's interview and not surprised by his comments given his leadership qualities but it does excite knowing we now have 3-4 leaders at the back with strong work rates and barking orders to the squad.

Bradley making comparisons between PW and Nathan Jones amused me, Jones for all his coaching strengths does come across as an extreme oddball.

I also read Washington's interview, the main point that struck was him discussing his time at Charlton and stating he was played out of position and not in a system to match his strengths. He did reasonable well with Charlton. According to Washington PW understands his strengths which implies we'll see a better version of him.

Collins and Washington to fire us to the L1 title 🙂. Spart you excited yet?!?!

Report suggests we are after Matt Gordon from Coventry, and also Billy Sharp.
