There is clearly a lot of self interest with the club and some fans in keeping the player.
To try and remove any red tinted view, fans should ask themselves, what if this were behaviour by a politician, by a TV presenter etc. Look at the hammering and reputational damage Hancock got for having an affair, which happens all the time. Imagine if this was Boris, or a Met Officer.
Like it or not Greenwood and United are in positions of significant importance in society and while nothing illegal has happened, their response should not to be to sweep it under the carpet. More will be harmed by doing so than if the club and player mutually agreed to separate.
If he wasn't such a quality and valuable player, the decision would have been very easy and quickly made. If this was Phil Jones he'd have gone by now.

Everytime a Greenwood article is posted it will gives same people the opportunity to re post their same arguement for and against Greenwood each time. I think we all know what everybody thinks about the case by now and until some kind of new clarity, truth and explanations are provided by somebody genuinely ITK who is actually involved in the proceedings then we will all just continue to ramble on about this. Meanwhile it does nothing for this forum and is dividing us all into groups and cliques.
Let us wait till we hear something new as a development and revisit the conversation with better insight another day.

This place is microcosm of the support nationwide. The support from other countries is a bit more biased in Masons side even. What the club must do is think how best to help him and ignore everything else. I'll still support United and so will everyone else.
Hopefully England winning the world cup this weekend makes them such heroes that their word is final from a PR perspective

I see this a lot, but is it really true?
When you say "gone", do you mean sacked? Do we know that can be done easily here? Or do you mean sold? To whom? Remember, we can't sell players we don't want even when they don't have controversy hanging over them, let alone when they do.
