Hope he has to wait - and wait. Not my favourite ex-Wolves manager.
He wanted the Spurs job at the start of the summer. He was angling for a move away as soon as the season finished.
Hopefully the other clubs saw his behaviour when here and decide they don't want to risk it.
Wouldn’t be surprised to see him at Chelsea when they sack Pockets.
Hopefully he gets a hostile reception if he ever returned to Molineux.
I can imagine he’ll get some abuse from the South Bank “sorts”.
Doherty starts at RWB against Holland.
I did hear a "rumour" that Lopetegui was part of a consortium that was going to buy Wolves. Is that too ridiculous?

That would put all those Lopetegui knockers, myself included, in a difficult position. Imagine him being a co-owner, installing himself as the new manager and starting to splash the cash.

Who knows, he might rate GON very highly?
One thing I never really understood about Lopetegui's departure. Clearly he was not happy with the board at the end, with or without good reason, but was he sacked or did he walk away? Was there a pay-out, and if so, why?
What does the word "contract" mean in the world of football?
Christian Marques has left Wolves on a permanent basis, joining Swiss side Yverdon Sport.

If he put his money where his mouth is then whats not to like about that. He's not handled things well this summer but that doesn't change my view that he's a very good manager. And although it seems unlikely him being involved in a take over then at least that gives some logic to why he is sticking around in the country. But I suspect that just someone putting two and two together and making five.

That makes perfect sense, it's so difficult getting a dentist nowadays he'd be a fool tocancel an appointment

Surely someone will be filling in during this industrial action?
That would crown everything wouldn’t it. Might as well jump in the root canal
Well, some incisive comments here, fangs for that.

I heard it slightly different, Lopetegui was hanging around in the UK as he was close to a consortium or potential new owner and would be reinstalled by them as manager. Source of the info was reasonably credible too but still didnt believe it. Have read similar on Mol Mix too.
Portugal racked up nine tonight against Luxembourg. Not sure what the point of putting out such a strong side against them was, shooting fish in a barrel comes to mind. Would've been an excellent opportunity for Neto to get a few international goals and Sa to make his debut but neither got of the bench.
To be fair Luxembourg are no mugs these days. Beat Iceland and Bosnia the last two games. Have also held Bulgaria, Hungary, Turkey and Slovakia the last year.
Seems ridiculous that Portugal persist with Ronaldo when their best team performances are when he’s missing.

Yeah, fine to still pick him for the squad but he shouldn't be getting starting games much or getting 90 mins.
Good to see Hugo Bueno get his debut for Spain U21s last night. Played the full game in their 1-0 win against Scotland
