The BBC report was terrible, first half we played really well and if we could only put the ball in the net.
Palace were abysmal until they got he first goal and we fell apart defensively.
Problem is if we can’t get points against a poor side like Palace, then we will struggle.
I said earlier that the ref was a homer and the stats bear that out. 3 booking for absolutely nothing only one for them.
I think the bookings for the full backs affected how we played. We were fine in the first half, but they couldn't commit to tackles in the second. Neither should have been booked. The Semedo booking in particularly was an absolute joke.
Think Ait-Nouri probably deserved his and it was on him more than the ref to be fair. He got wound up for no reason after being easily outmuscled.
So sad that it has come to this again though. Was really optimistic and looking forward to this season with Julen and now we are basically hoping for survival again.

Would have been ok if he had booked the other guy too, they normally do.
Ran got punched and elbowed regardless of the foul ayew should have been punished
Yeah I'd have no problem with the RAN booking if Ayew had been booked. It was a book both or neither situation for me.
Semedo was a massive liberty.... The attacker ran across him
From what I have seen so far this season, I think the standard of refereeing has dropped and it was bad before. VAR has also not improved and whatever anyone says, there is a complete bias in favour of the bigger teams.
Watched the game this evening, wasn't shaping up to be a bad away performance for 50 odd minutes. Even at 1-1 we looked like we were in it, the decision swap Silva for Traore was bizarre.
Agree on the performance of the referee, both of those bookings were shockers.
Podence is going back to Olympiakos on loan apparently. Get the impression that's what he's wanted for a good while now.
He's also signed a contract extension at Wolves to protect us at the end of the loan so we'll have some bargaining power at least when it's up. No obligation to buy though. Hobbs had said that there were offers from PL clubs but he didn't want them.
Bet his Mrs has told him to get her to somewhere warm. Just as the sun comes out in Wolverhampton for the first time this summer ironically.
Yup, went today and with him gone, the value of our squad has plummeted. We now sit just above the 3 promoted sides. Down from about 10th before the transfer window opened.
I think Traore was brought on to try and secure the draw more than anything else.
Made a huge amount of money this summer that is for sure. We joked at getting 80m and ended up with 144m and then some
And of course big wages outside of that as well with Moutinho, Adama, Podence, Costa and a few others.
I can see another panic in January when they sack GON and spend another £100mk in an effort to stay up.
Watched a recording of the game after a few days away. Thought overall we played ok but similar to the Brighton game we concede quick goals and it’s all over. Need to correct that because we won’t get many points by conceding 3 in a game.
We were always going to miss the ability of Neves to both protect the defence and build from deep. Lemina and Gomes are good but Neves was world class. Also I don’t think Dawson is looking as solid so far this season as he did last season. And I think Bueno is a better bet in a back four than Ait Nouri.
Going forward I do think we will be better over the season with Fabio or Sasa up front rather than Jimenez and Costa. Otherwise the squad now needs to use the international break to settle down to the season following all the changes before the deadline. We have got shot of two unhappy players in Nunes and Podence and now we have to see what the new additions can give us
True, we got nearly 144m quid, but we spent 80m, so our profit is around 64m. That should be enough to keep us safe with the FFP rules. And you're right, the wage bill has been reduced quite a lot too. No more 5m a year salaries like Moutinho and Jimenez.
Villareal have sacked their manager after a poor start to the season and one of the names being tipped to take the role is Lopetegui

Hope they have an unlimited budget.
burchnell has come in as an assistant to GON.
Great track record, Sacked from Forest Green I believe earlier this year
Hard to be positive isn't it
Have to wonder what some of the players are thinking. A month ago they were under one of Europes top tier coaches and now they are under an assembled cast of lower league guys and a manager with 38 games to his name.
Have to hope the rumours of Fosun selling are true
Sounds promising
For those who hardly know anything about him (including you I presume), I can shed a little more personal/insightful, biased/bigoted opinion on his exploits in Norway. Having followed Viking under their last 15 managers, in my humble opinion, he was by far the worst of the lot. Viking have only been relegated once from the top division in the last 37 years and that was the season he was in charge. Clueless coaching, comedy tactics and some borderline scary post match interviews. A bit like Dean Saunders without the playing career.
Clearly it is a limited timeframe, but backing that up in England with a resignation from a non-league club and a sacking from a team that got relegated to League 2, suggests that the tactical advice he gives to players who have played at the highest level in La Liga, Serie A, Ligue 1, the PL and the World Cup, might be a fun watch.
On the plus side he will be a coach not a manager.
