Evidently Nunes had been given assurances that he could move on in the summer by none other than our old friend super agent Jorge Mendes.

Great work from Mendes. Bring us a player that is mostly crap for us and then sell for a huge profit one year later.
THANK YOU MENDES!!!!

Agreed. Saw absolutely nothing to suggest he’s worth what we paid never mind anymore! I wonder if Jorge could get us £60mk for Chunha?
Cunha has certainly been our best player so far this season. Would want more than £60m for him
Wolves U21s in EFL Trophy action tonight at Notts County. Tough assignment given how well County have started this season but we did well in this competition last season
Fabio has had quite a week with the Portugal U21 team. Last week he scored one and made one at home to Andorra. This afternoon away at Belarus he scored two and made two
I wonder why Nunes would want to leave Man City having signed a 5 year contract.. oh wait, another huge pay check for greedy Mendes.
Nice to see we got a small loan fee for Podence. Shame we couldn't for Guedes. Worms... can of

Great to see the lad doing well and today's efforts were all in the first half, as he was substituted at half time. For his second, he was fouled in the box and took the penalty himself.
However, playing against this kind of opposition is a far cry from the Premiership, but it'll do his confidence a world of good.

Crazy right, as normally all players finish their contracts before moving on. Agents rarely make a penny.
U21s 2-0 ahead at Notts County with goals from Hesketh and Fraser
Southgate's half time team talk : "lads, well done but you're taking far too many chances here, all this neat one touch stuff, incisive passing, opening up the Scottish defense, scoring first half goals, this isn't what we coached you to do!! Slow it down, move it sideways, now the Scots to death and we'll kill the game. Harry, we're missing your presence, get your shin pads, your on, set the standard".
.... bore the Scots to death...
Why are England so dull to watch? Arguably the best front six in international football and he manages to play two holding midfielders and grind out a win
People are always hard on the English team. We played against a Scotland team on their best run of results for many years and we played them off the park, scored 3 goals and never allowed the scots a shot on target. And Bellingham looks some player
England played some really nice footie in the first half but it did feel like they came out after half time under instruction to kill a game that was supposed to be a celebration of 150 years of international football. And no point in repeating what I've said before about that clumsy oaf Maguire.
U21s beat Notts County 2-1 tonight, Fraser scoring again.
It is remarkable that Maguire is still selected. Whatever you think of him as a player how can it be the best choice to pick someone that isn’t getting games for his club
Conor Coady soon to make his Leicester debut after injury. Playing, what I'm sure will be regularly, for a top level Championship side must be better preparation for England than not playing for a Premier League side.
I would pick Kilman ahead of Maguire and Coady any day of the week

There was also a time that you thought our midfield options were the envy of every other Premier League club!
And you thought City were pretending to be interested in Nunes just to persuade Bernardo Silva to sign a new contract. But don’t worry I’m sure you’ll get something right one day

Hearing rumours that KDB evidently had a second scan this morning that has revealed more extensive ligament damage and evidently leading to a longer lay off.
Evidently City may now be back in for Nunes. 👍

Looks like I was right on this one Spanner?
It’s true you accepted Nunes was going after two weeks of arguing with me that he wasn’t. It’s not true he had a second operation and he had hamstring issues not ligament damage
But if it helps your ego lets say you were right all along
It’s one of those seasons where the African Cup of Nations will cause players to be absent from the UK in the winter from mid Jan. Boubacar Traore and Ait Nouri are likely to be two of them as their nations have qualified. But Gabon didn’t qualify so Lemina will be ok
Forest could be without 7 players
